Marlene Bautista 2004 best year of music!
@nonplayerzealot47 жыл бұрын
Marlene, MTV as the world once knew and loved it died at least a decade before 2004. That's about the point where the shows outnumbered the music videos and the music videos weren't good enough to warrant more time anyway. In 98, they put up MTV2 in order to play videos as they used to, but they quickly began playing older stuff because the shit coming out of the music industry in the Napster years sucked about as much as the Simpsons. A bunch of gay boy bands and what not. Popular music as an entity had died by 2000.

Lrdvltr EWWWW no. early 2000s completely butchered punk rock by fusing it with pop. punk pop is literal ear rape, real authentic rock as a popular genre died with Kurt Cobain, I would say david bowie, but after scary monsters bowie didn't really release another rock album until the next day and blackstar

The first time I heard this song was on my 11th birthday. I was in 5th grade and two girls in my class said they had a "special birthday dance" they wanted to perform for the class. They then proceeded to do a dance routine to this song in front of the entire class of like 20 people, our teacher and my mother. I had to stop myself from laughing because I knew exactly what the song was about and the two girls didn't. My teacher just stood in the back of the class appalled but didn't stop the girls I think for fear of having to explain what the song was about. Apparently at one point she just leaned over to my mom and told her "I just hope Jesus can forgive their souls.". Still makes me laugh to do this day.
