Ash has been the most underrated no 1. No one seemed to take her seriously. She didn’t do all the media madness, just got on with the work of improving her game, ignored the haters and focussed on the things she can control. Finally people are taking her seriously, because her tennis does the talking. Been a fan since I first watched her as a junior and I’m overjoyed she’s in the final.

Ash's serve is considered as 'not the fastest, but with a lot of variety and precision'. Just to explain a thing or two to all the negators of Ash's serve speed: Ash Barty has been serving on average in the 175-180s km/h this year! Such numbers have been produced consistently by the best servers on tour: Williams sisters, Osaka, Pliskova, Keys, Sabalenka (LOL) etc... So Ash's serve is in fact one of the fastest on tour in addition to having variety and precision. And imo, that's why potentially everyone is struggling against her these days, cos she's amped her serve up (without compromising on the variety and precision), and she's added more revolutions per minute (more rotation, higher speed) to her BH slice, and that's what shocks people. It's not just 'oh the girls are not used to the slice, so it shocks them', it's the fact that her slice is bloody faster than Roger Federer's that shocks people! And her serve is fast, variable and precise. And her forehand has always been a tremendous weapon! And her aggressive net game is spot on! And her flow in defense is another of her strengths. She's a whole package, and is playing better than in her prime years, which were 2019 - 2021. It's a whole new level guys, so give respect where respect is due, to both Ash, and her shocked opponents, who are absolutely baffled by this level of dominance Ash has found! Enjoy it, I know I have been and will continue to do so x :)

Barty played solid during the crucial moments today, but she served only 45% first balls in during the first set and committed forehand mistakes during 2-3 easy second-serve returns. Collins usually plays well in Australia, moves well on the court; she is in tip-top shape, and much more continuous, crafty tactically, clinical than Keys, Anisimova and Giorgi. The head to head between them is really close, hence Barty will have to fight tooth and nail and play with patience to win this title. If Ash visualizes, creates mentally a winning scenario and concentrates on it, like Djokovic did against Roger, wins; the final will be a tough chess mental battle.

@@hahalol2213 Collins starts favourite this final, because she is sharper this moment, but Barty can win this final, if she plays the emotional episodes decisively. 8-9 times out of 10 times Barty is the favourite to win a final of a tournament, but this moment it is not like that.

She is weak on the back hand. Keys got it right but should have sent more to her back hand.

The slices of the backhand are going deep that Keys even accepted and said she cannot hit that with power. She may adjust it that Barty will have the advantage to counterattack. Plus, Barty's services are more successful than Keys' in so many levels. Her serves alone can make her a winner.
