The whole event was really special. I don't think most people know how big this was. I teared up several times, but the guy who gave her a painting and came forcefully forward to hug her idol. It was a super important moment for him and he was extatic and he'll cherish that hug for the rest of his life. He spent 4 months on the painting. That says how much Aurora means to her W&Ws.

The artist was well aware that AURORA didn't really like being hugged, you can see in the video that it was AURORA who said CAN I HUG YOU and then they hugged. There were other viewers between him and AURORA, and the girl who was delivering the skirt also got tripped over while delivering her stuff, I wish I could explain that he wasn't being rude.

@@SteinSteinStein he wasn't rude, he was just extremely excited. Saw a news report on Norwegian TV and they interviewed him and he was in tears and said it was the biggest thing that ever happened to him.

I’ve never understood why anyone would be surprised by Aurora writing and performing something that’s so upbeat,if you read about what she likes doing,like spending time at raves and Dancing which she loves doing at times all by herself, it’s understandable for me that she would want to experience and do different things with her own music and put her own style into it.what makes her unique is she nails it every time for she encompasses every aspect of the art of music in her performances, like no other artist she takes you to the very place’s that she sings about,you see what she sees,you feel what she feels her songs are her children and you can visibly see how much they mean to her in every performance,it’s why we cry,laugh,smile along with her.I’ve called her a Genius on many occasions but more than that she’s one of the most beautiful humble human souls and I’m beyond blessed to have her words of poetry her children in my life.❤️

She said at the beginning, it was experimental, presumably trying to sing it, just accompanied by an acoustic guitar, and no layered vocals. But it was flawless. She must have an incredible musical mind to be able to recreate a studio produced version, live, but without the production assistance. But she does it time and time again, improvising to make up for the lack of production assistance. To be honest, I never liked live versions of other artists, tracks and songs, because none were that good. Okay, if you at the concert, you get carried away by the moment. But listen to a recording, and they are very sub-par. Of course it varies. And excellent musicians, can do great performances, if the studio version is more or less, and straight recording and not a highly produced version. But Aurora, is the only artist I've ever seen and heard, where her live performances, are if anything technically better than the studio version. I never saw any glitches in your video and nice reaction.

When I saw this the first time I thought that she was not really focused. And then I watched the whole meet and greet and I understood her cheekyness. The whole situation was so funny and relaxed... she sung another 2 songs and got some surprises...

Dear Ashlena! Agree with you 100% Yes, the original is her "child and she absolutely loves it with all her heart and will do the original in her big concerts but she seems to thrive in her smaller spaces more intimate audiences and when she does crazy sensitive performances like this. That's how I think many, perhaps most, get their highest fulfillment come through. Anyway I for me anywayh i - hi. Her performance with through the eyes... yesterday at home in Norway. Was a total tear-jerker at home. Sometimes I wonder how big her heart 💓 is. Maybe a little tiring for you to hear. But your reactions are so heartfelt that I am actually touched by them too. The "glitching" in the video is the video itself. This recording is from a Chinese site. I watched the whole thing and it was very sweet. What is surprising though is that the whole album "The Gods We Can Touch" just passed the Chinese censorship. Even Aurora expressed surprise by that on Norwegian national TV. When we all know the hard and difficult (and dare I say provocative) topics that Aurora brings up in her poetry, it is a big surprise indeed. About Aurora's voice. I first saw her 8 years ago now and back then she was this raw talent. Her voice was this beautiful instrument she was starting to master. Eight years later and here we are. Listening to this angel voice. About your video setup ash. You have a beautiful face so I don't mind 😀Love from Norway.

I knew the acoustic version would be beautiful. I was a little nervous because it did seem like this would be a hard song to sing live but she did well as usual. In 11 hours is the premiere for this song’s music video! I’m very excited for it.

She never disappoints, does she? As much as I love her voice here, I could even watch this without the sound. Her personality shines through so much with her emotions and her interactions with the audience. She's only becoming a better performer as she gets older. She's always so humble and so authentic. Aurora is just so adorable. I can't stand it. The original is still my favorite, but I always love her acoustic songs and performances. I was a bit surprised to see that she didn't have her ear monitors in. I wonder if that's part of her new experimentation, or if she just didn't have them with her. 😂

Great reaction as always. It's so sweet to see your adoration for Aurora😊 You're so right! This song is VERY hard to sing. I'm impressed that she's able to do it so well acoustic. (Premiere of the video for it is today btw, but you probably knew that already.) Many of her songs are extremely hard to sing. She said a few times that it's easier for her to do cover songs, because her own are so difficult to sing. LOL Oh, and I'm sure you will be able to see her live in 2024. Ah, that was so special, her performances are always amazing, but this one seems so touching to me. Anyway, I love love love this, but the studio is still my preferred version. I think that this being her first live performance, she was probably nervous, maybe? I think her live rendition will only get better and better, because, you know, it's Aurora, lol. I agree with you. This is really good, but there is definitely room for improvement. I think what makes this special is watching her perform it. I think for just the audio portion, the studio version is much better. But I think future live performances may very well exceed the studio version, as they often do.

That was amazing. There are already too many comments for me to read them all. But has anyone written that the sort of red ... scarf (?) she's wearing, which is beautiful and probably a piece of traditional clothing, has just been given to her by a fan on stage? I mean, a W&W :) And the whole thing "Beijing Meet & Greet" seems to be juste incredible (What? I haven't even watched the whole thing yet? Bad me.) (OMG ! She even got other traditional clothes on stage! This thing lasts over an hour, am ... am I crazy or what? )

There seems to be a bit of glitching in the original upload of this video (as well as the longer “meet & greet” version), so it’s not you! Lovely reaction and this is a really impressive first-time performance of this song- and I love Frederik’s bossa nova rhythm in the middle. The entire meet and greet video (especially the one that starts with a sit-down interview) is well worth watching when you have time. Looking forward to Aurora Tuesday!

Ashlena, this is so incredibly sweet and moving at the same time. Aurora - what a singer/songwriter/storyteller. How beautiful is her live version of this - wow! Thank you for reacting to this performance, my friend and warrior. The popping and clicking are in the original upload of these recordings. Bawling like a baby on second listening ... just like when I first listened to the Nidaros versions of 'Through the Eyes of a Child' and 'Lucky'. My goodness this is a powerful song! I have come to love the studio version very deeply. To see our warrior fairy princess sing this difficult song live along with Fredrik is true bliss. There are two more videos of songs sung by Aurora at this event: 'Cure for Me' and 'Exist for Love'.

Hi Ashlena, i am agree, Aurora and Fredrik is increadible in a acoustic setting as always. We are now in december so i would recomend a Christmas song by Aurora - Stjernestøv (stardust in English), but she sings this song in Norwegian, her dialect from Bergen, magical. 🎄😍
