Doug was going her sugar daddy, a home owner, income through pregnancy, retirement one way or another. She trapped him, when he wanted to get together again she thought, Do I have to put up with him to get everything I wanted, too much work, I don't think so!". So she found a way to get rid of him. I hope she appeals. I think it was self defense. She was a ballerina. He had studied martial arts, which probably explains his arm movements and his side stance; hence the path of the bullet from front right of his upper torso to back left. He could have taunted her because he didn't believe she would pull the trigger. Her description matches that scenario. There didn't seem to be any inconsistencies, and certainly no changing of her story that I noticed. Additional details can be remembered after time has gone by. Her stoicism could be due to the fact that she has been under a cloud of suspicion, and her in-laws not supporting her. These are very difficult cases for juries to judge. God knows the truth, and eventually He will either judge, or all parties have or will obtain forgiveness from Him, so that it is reckoned as having been paid for by Jesus Christ, as far as judgment after life is concerned. But society has to deal with such unknowns; so, when it comes to her life and or freedom being in jeopardy, I prefer the original American value of trust in God to take vengeance, if someone is guilty; but a society is better off to let 100 guilty people go free than if they convict one innocent person. God will judge a society that does not value life and freedom properly.

She had to say under oath that he didn't hit her
@reikilady7712 ай бұрын
He did hit her, they had a pic of her face, but what she said was, he had never hit her before, but that doesn't mean there was never abuse before. I have been in abusive relationships, and hitting isn't the only type of domestic violence. There is evidence that he had thrown the dog down the stairs, threw things at her, called her names, yelled at her in an intimidating way. That is abuse.
@Gwarzonicus2 ай бұрын
@@reikilady771 it is a claim, I saw the picture saying she had some slight swelling on cheeks which to be honest I couldn't see, seemed like a stretch if you have actually seen a battered face before. This is why prosecution presented her photos prior to the day of the murder as a reference. No where was it proven beyond reasonable doubt he hit her. This is exactly why I stay away from toxic individuals no matter what. As a man you get angry once then everyone labels you as abusive. Time and time again even his daughter testified that she often complained and kept talking her husband into frustration.

@reikilady771 HE NEVER EVER HIT HER. YOU AND OTHERS SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW THIS GIRL. SHE BRUISED HER OWN FACE ON PURPOSE AND SCRATCHED IT. "THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN ABUSE OF ANY KIND, IS LYING ABOUT IT"....CLAIMING IT HAPPENED WHEN IT DID NOT.

A case like this the defendant did not have a history of domestic violence the case of marcia Thompson she definitely was abused for many many years she was found not guilty but this case here it was not self defense at all ....

For me the fact is he did admit in text he got the gun and shot at her. He knocked the dog out, who does that? To the dog? He had anger issues, couldn't control himself. They are oil and water clearly. The 30 age year gap, his wife JUST died. 9 months is not long enough to be ready to remarry. And he picked a young naive girl who was certainly impressionable. But the media is painting her out like some temptress, this was all in his power and control. He had no reason to marry if he didn't want it. His ex wife's texts showed he was an abusive husband, a user, a liar.....so a leopard doesn't change it's spots. I'm sure he was desperate and his daughter said when she left him the note that it was over he cried the same way he cried at her mom's funeral. People who know him can say she's a liar but those text messages are not fake. He admitted to shooting at her. So it isn't far fetched to think she's afraid for her life. Remember they had several guns.

THANK YOU!!! Finally, a voice of reason. He was completely unhinged, and it's amazing how people brush past all of it as if it's irrelevant. 'But he's such a good man' is something most family/friends say when they find out their loved one is an undercover abuser. The media had me assuming she was guilty before the trial even started due to the way they worded the situation. They completely sensationalized it to get more viewers watching. However, seeing it play out in court -- it's clear to me that she is not guilty.

Was she stringing him along and he believed he was moving in with her and mom? then last minute told him he couldn't and that's what set him off? His life was packed in the truck too...did he find out last minute he had no where to live when he got there,? Seems like she knew he was going to be really angry so had guns ready.she might not have told her mother but time was running out? Same as the dance studio.after he sunk millions into it she was on him to have the vasectomy.i think they were both a hot mess..but how much was him reacting to her spoiled immature behavior?
