1:44 When you smell a slice of mango, it would be difficult to smell its skin independently from its pulp. Ideally you would want to smell the pulp from a slice and the skin from an uncut mango.

Great video! For me, a good sniffing session for tropical fruits would be to smell both the old Zoologist Bat (now called Night Flyer, under the Olympic Orchids house) and the new Zoologist Bat. Both have prominent tropical fruit notes but differ in interesting ways. The older version going for a more overripe smell, that includes banana, and the newer iteration goes for guava and passionfruit that have a muskier and greener impression.

I don't know if you did it on purpose but the pineapple would be a neighbour in the notes continuum to the citruses (at least that is how I feel it) which you reviewed in your last clip

You nailed it Ashley. I was recently picking (and eating 😉) overripe/rotting strawberries right from the plant and was shocked to discover how similar (almost identical in fact) they tasted to overripe pineapple. I'm convinced they share some compounds in common. Which makes me think.......strawberry Aventus? 🤔🤣 I'll have to check out the mango too. Never tasted durian though! Not sure I want to. 🤭 Ps, absolutely love the hair. ❤😍❤

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Please remove the color painting in the background - it is distracting!
