Hey Ashley! Check your form and make sure you use your glutes when you’re running! I used to get knee pain when running and I started being intentional about my mind/muscle connection with my glutes while running and my knee pain went away. Good luck with your 10K you got this!

Sounds like you got the runner's high Ashley! Also, I feel like I can do more at certain points of my monthly cycle. Some days I can run for longer and lift way heavier without fatigue

Very happy I got recommended your channel! I was looking for someone exactly like you: a runner I could relate to. I have signed up for my first ever 10k at the end of May, and I am currently at the end of my Couch to 5K programme. Since your run was yesterday, I am sure you did amazing and I hope you are recovering well!

For your long runs, i wonder if maybe splitting up your runs throughout the day might help. For instance, you said earlier needing to run 4miles. Maybe you could do two miles in the morning outside and then two miles in the gym on the treadmill. Since im assuming youre just wanting to work up to the 10k, this will help put the miles into your leg

Loved this video! I’m also training for a 10K. Have you ever tried a spibelt or a flip belt type thing? They’re relatively flat and much less likely to cause chafing, yet they can fit a lot of stuff. I use a stashbandz I got off amazon years ago, and it easily fits my phone, car key fob, inhaler, lip balm, extra hair tie, and a lil snack. Plus I loop my birdie alarm onto it. It also stays put and doesn’t slide up or down on me, even when packed full.

Girl please don’t forget to do hip exercises, they don’t have to be complicated but I 100% promise you don’t want to be out 3-4 months from a knee injury 😩 learn from my mistakes
