This Jund Suprise Combo Deck for Standard BO3 is INSANE!
We use Smuggler's Surprise to put Calamity, Galloping Inferno and a Vein Ripper or Vaultborn Tyrant to run our opponent over with VALUE or just kill them on the SPOT! I ended up going 9-2 with this deck and it was just INCREDIBLE!

Love your vids first of all. Love this deck a well. Took this and made it Temur just to see if it would work and oh boy did it lol. Having access to three steps ahead in particular is really nice and very versatile. Can draw cards, counter spells and also make tokens of your big boys. Also the Railway guy that puts counters on your guys coming in works very well.

My Terror always dies immediately or gets countered unfortunately and seldom get the perfect draw to deal maximum damage

Horse just joined Bird, Monkey and Thopter in the echelon of "creature types with Weirdly Busted cards" (Thopter is there by technicality)

Actuallly pushpull is very good here cuz smuggler mill so there is a synergy there, also you can just add bitter triumph

Since Topiary Stomper is rotating out soon, would you say Ancient Cornucopia, or going with the crime lands, and Freestrider Lookout would be the best replacement after Rotation?

I always like railway brawler with calamity, if all you have in play is brawler calamity can come down. Saddle, then create 2 brawlers swinging for 38 total Example would be that turn @19:00 if you had brawler instead of tyrant you would hit for 38, sure you draw 4 less cards but they are dead

I get that the Topiary is a good thing to saddle with the calamity, but as your only ramp, its a dead card for outside that. I'd consider more ramp tbh.

This does feel a little better to play than the Gruul version, though it doesn't have quite the same Gatcha potential. Vein Ripper + Calamity is sweet though.

Well a lot of the deck survives rotation.. Topiary is kind of a big loss but i don't know it can be replaced..? Its hard to say with the meta also changing etc..

Fun deck, but better with the Rhino bc rather than draw and life gain, you jus win (also a bit faster). 38 haste damage, 30 of which is trample....

Very true. The Gruul version just loses. I could get calamity and and the Discover Dino but deals like 18 damage and I lose and yes Terror just dies right away and BroHoodEnd is not great removal for this meta where needs to be instant as well. Thanks for the list to bad I don't have Dreadnknights or Stomper but will try to replace them in a Jund list

At 45:30 you could have won that turn with the Surprise third option, hexproof and indestructible.

21:00 yeah meathook is more expensive but you also end up gaining 10 life and dealing 10 every time

29:15 "couldn't really do much else" You could have played 2 Trailblazers and a Dreadknight. 3 blockers is better than one if you expect a burn spell. Playing Path of Peril was a mistake. But yeah, you would still have lost because he had 2 burn spells, not one.

Ehhh what? You're not forced to attack with Forge tokens. Nobody plays Veinripper in standard, and if someone would, monored certainly don't care, since it costs 7 mana.

I love your content ash, but I strongly disagree about meathook massacre, that card was way stronger than other board wipes you mentioned, the main reason is that meathook is more than just a board wipe, because it not only cleans opponent board, it also gains you life reducing significantly the chances of winning for your opponent. It was a finisher too, many times u could just win the game by killing your own creatures. A meathook of 3 (x=1) it may not remove the board, but sometimes it was enough to kill a few things, gain a couple of life and then it remains on the board, gain life each time you kill your opponent creatures. It's a card that does much more than a board wipe.

Just look at the meta, aggro decks have presence now, even though we have those "faster" board wipes, but when meathook was legal they didn't have a chance. In fact, wotc notes about the ban of the meathook mentioned that, it was to allow aggro decks to be part of the meta.

This decks sorta sucks for best of one. First 3 games, 3 tapped lands, dead by turn 4. Next game, 3 copies of Smuggler, but no creatures. The deck is a gimmick, but not very serious.
