For notes regarding his main two perceived weaknesses (Which by the way seems to me you likely know these points even if you didn’t mention all explicitly, but for those watching as well): 1) RECEIVING: Last year as a 19 year old true sophomore he led all FBS RBs in receiving yards with 569 on 43 catches and 5TDs (13.4 YPR). He accomplished this in just 11.5 games while in a pretty split backfield with Holani, who is now on the Seahawks. For comparison, his best season in college, CMC went 45-645-5TDs in 14 games. Of Jeanty’s 569 receiving yards, over 600 of his receiving yards came after the catch (Yes, you read that right, cuz of catching behind the LOS), meaning he averaged around 14 YAC per reception…...For analytics, he was also the #1 graded receiving back by PFF last year, most because he had an insane forced missed tackle rate on those receptions (Well of 50%, I believe). If you want to cry he did it against comp, his 2023 season included a 100+ yard receiving game @ runner up Washington. It’s funny cuz if you watch preseason videos his receiving ability was actually seen as his biggest strength. He was simply not used as a receiver this year because he was so effective rushing and his threat as a rusher was critical to Boise’s passing game, which was almost wholly dependent on play-action. He is not a CMC, Kamara, or Bijon that can line up outside and run routes like an NFL wide receiver, but does all the key RB routes very well, good hands, phenomenal after the catch, and in particular maybe the best RB I have ever seen in the screen game from his 2023 tape (Which they couldn’t do this year as the entire defense was keyed on him ever play). 2) BALL SECURITY: Going into the Penn State game this year he had 2 fumbles on 344 carries. Both came in the 2nd half of the year, after the first UNLV game where he hurt us elbow and had a giant brace on his arm the rest of the season. The Penn State game was 2 first half fumbles off a 3-4 week break on plays where he broke multiple tackles before. Overall, fumbling is generally an issue with any RB that breaks a ton of tackles like Jeanty. He didn’t play RB in HS until his senior year (Slot received before, hence the strong receiving upside), which I think can explain the number of fumbles in his first 2 years. I think this regular season showed that you should not be too concerned with fumbles, I would draw up the Penn State game to being rusty going against the #1 rush defense in the country stacking the box and trying to do a bit too much

@@colewarner4954 Yeah, like with Malik Nabers in the video I made prior to this, I will have 'worries' about every prospect mentioned, but much like with him, this isn't meant to pretend that he's going to bust or is a weak prospect. Jeanty gets a perfect score for catching due to only three drops on high volume considering his sophomore targets, receptions and yards would be more than some collegiate prospects have their entire careers (specifically last year), a 4 out of 5 on YAC because while he's fantastic there, there are better YAC backs, and a 3.5 out of 5 is above average for route running, which I reserve really high scores for those Bijan and CMC level route runners. Appreciate the insight on the fumbles. 10, like I said, isn't a number that makes you worry about him, and thank you for providing further context behind them. It doesn't even worry me enough to make the 'worries' list, which for a prospect of his caliber, none of these worry me at all, really. 😂

@ Ya, like I said seems based off your scores you clearly did your homework. I really wouldn’t change any of them. He certainly does not seem to be a CMC/Kamara/Bijon level route runner. But in my opinion he projects to be as good or maybe even better YAC receiver, which honestly is more important for an RB. So that would be the main point I would disagree on, I guess. I mean, he literally averaged 14 YAC per reception on 43 receptions as a sophomore…… My comment was more for general context, especially given the most misconception I see with Jeanty is thinking he is not a receiving back cuz they only look at his film/stats from this year. Fumbling is certainly the main concern I still have as well, though I think his improvement in that department this year was promising, and the fact that he is still in sone sense “newer” to the positions leads one to believe he can still continue to improve in that department. But good breakdown overall, I’m less criticizing and more adding context cuz of just how crazy of a prospect he is!

Where would you generally be looking to draft Jeanty in a start up draft?
@TheFantasyFootballStrategist18 күн бұрын
@@Andre_Daigle It's a little early because we don't know draft capital and landing spot, but I'd imagine in SF somewhere in the mid 2nd to early 3rd.

@@DynastyFF777 It would be pretty even if you gave up the 1.01 for both of them. The longer you wait to sell the 1.01 though, the more valuable the pick becomes. 😈
