It could be great if you get into contract with some to sell their flutes through you such that you test the tuning of the flutes sold through you. Online purchase of flutes from large makers is often risky as they make a lots of flutes, many of which are not perfectly tuned (and many are, of course).

Dear ashwin. Right instrument with right guidance will do magic. Tell the source of purchase and how to identify a good quality flute. better regular online sessions not more than 20-22 minutes for small but consistent progress. how to identify the scale of a song and how to match the right flute. This venture of yours must rock for all eager flute learners.

Have a question : Why do flautists use to shake their heads when they use 'Gamak' ? Is it what they do for modulation or it's only a natural reaction? Previously asked about 'Cross Octave Glissando' link please about it. Thanks for your precious elaborations on advanced techniques.

Thanks a ton ji! As for value, if the flute is good, then it is value for money. Which is why price is a deliberate omission in my reviews. Most other beginner level instruments are at least 3-4x more expensive. And a professional highest priced flute is still cheaper than those. :) I understand that a ‘review’ is never complete without the value for money factor. But I guess I use that word for lack of a better one in my context.

Nope. :) I leave the choice to the viewers based on what aspects of the flute they like. I only feature pitching, tonality and look. Because I strongly believe that this is no place for competition of any kind. The moment I compare, it becomes competition. And the objective of these videos is to bring lesser known skilled makers to all those who follow this channel and thereby bringing them to prospective buyers - I also don’t discuss pricing because these makers are pricing their flutes at a far less price point compared to the big guns.

When you act out an emotion, you need the intensity to go with it. So if the emotion is soft, your expression would reflect that. If your emotion is strong, your expression should reflect that. There is no one way for ‘beginner’. Also, you cease to be a beginner after you’ve begun. :)
