I've been avoiding a lot of channels lately as they have become Ten Hag hate biased. Also, they contradict themselves. You can easily see a load of reasons like, like on 4 senior players had a full preseason. Onana, Casemiro, Mount & Rashford. How many of them will be long term regulars? All our best players and new signings have had no preseason. So chemistry, fitness and sharpness are having to be worked on in the season. We played Fulham who had medium fitness coming into the season. Brighton and Liverpool are probably the 2 fittest teams to start the season. They are sprinting around the pitch and had the majority of their main senior players who had a full preseason. We have had players making errors leading to goals and players missing very good chances. That's not tactical, that's a player profile issue. We never gave this much criticism to a previous manager. Let me list all the managers who failed. Moyes (we all realised he was above his weight class), Louis Van Gaal (The crazy genius who was a very good coach, but too rigid for English football. We over passed and never looked like scoring). Mourinho (didn't like a lot of possession in the game for fear of errors. He would rather have his team out of possession, but in a very defensive structure rather than attack. We would capitalise when the opposition left spaces). Ole (very basic counter attacking football with 6 defending. Then one long ball to try and win it). Baring Moyes and LVG. One thing they all had in common, they couldn't play high energy football for 90 minutes. Ten Hag has had the most criticism, but he inherited the worst squad. But also was tasked with completely changing the play style to a modern way without adequate people recruiting the right players to achieve it. I understand Ten Hag has made mistakes and I'm not brainwashed to fully back any agenda. I have seen the best managers in the world have flaws in their judgement. What Ineos need to do is recruit players who can fill those flaws. Pep struggled in his 1st season with a team who were previous EPL champions. He came 4th on goal difference to Man United. They threw a load of money at him and removed players like Joe Hart. The rest is history.

Ineos have given us a glimmer this summer of the difference that has been needed, and as much as the fans keep saying major changes have been needed, most still expect everything to be accomplished instantly. It takes time to actually get changes on the field to be cohesive.

Nagglesman is young though I prefer his attitude to Tuchel, but the epl is a cold world. No love in the streets. It takes no prisoners. I want to support ten Hag, but I can't help but ask ... why does Utd persist in moving through the middle when the personnel cannot handle it; why did Utd tactics vs City work well in both the FAC and Community Shield, but he persists (in other games) in trying to meld a high press (with attackers who can only manage the energy in 5-10 minute spurts followed by 10-20 minutes of jogging) and a mid-low block with acres of space in midfield and only Mainoo and the leg-weary Casemiro there?
