I remember when I was a kid visiting South America in the 80's, everybody loved Asia.

I had no idea Asia was still around after John Wetton passed. I knew Billy Sherwood had taken over for a while, but thought Geoff Downes committed himself to Yes. They actually made a decent comeback in the late 2000s and early 2010s. I also think some of the John Payne albums are underrated and deserve a second listen.

Geoff never committed himself to Yes he’s been back with Asia since 1990. Tony Kaye has been with Yes hasn’t been any talk of him leaving,

Really don't like this Asia encarnation... Only original member, Geoff Downes, is just playing here with 3 other guys: Virgil Donati on drums (not Carl Palmer of course), John Mitchell is a good guitarist, but no Steve Howe... he should go back and revive Arena or even Kino, nice band this last one... and last but definitely the least, this Harry Whitley on bass and vocals... this guy doesn't even have the vocal range to sing the late Wetton's songs, very poor performance here, live... Some bands really don't know when to quit... this is one of them... and, don't get me wrong, I love Asia and I witnessed the Asia phenomenon in the early '80s... but, some things are better left "untouched" ... the original Asia and their excellent 2 first albums are history for the ages... Just my two cents... 🤟🤟👋👋
