Yes, most young people are stupid. I retired as a registered nurse last year. I hope I die suddenly or in my sleep as I know who will be taking care of me in the Hospital. I mentored all new grads. They had no critical thinking skills. I had to write them up constantly for disappearing constantly and having their smart phones in hand. A lot were fired. It’s so sad and jacked up. America is in trouble in many ways. Every now and again I got a normal new grad. The rest of them, sorry as hell. Scary AF

To be fair, when my parents went to school they used to say there were only 6 continents. Europe and Asia used to be called Eurasia. And I know that because when I came home from school in 2nd grade singing the continent song, my mom stopped me and asked when they split Eurasia into 2 separate continents.

I was in elementary in the early 80’s and in 5th grade we had map tests on the USA every Friday. By the end of school we could write all the correct states and capitals on the map and they were timed tests. This is one reason I have a poster of the US above my 9 year old grandsons desk. He’s homeschooled. He could answer all those questions. 🤦🏼‍♀️

They teach us there are 7 continents, but as usual, that is deception. Europe and Asia are joined and are called Eurasia. That makes 6, hold on, there's another problem. The accepted definition of a continent is a land mass surrounded by ocean. So, if Antarctica surrounds the oceans like the flat earth maps show, it doesn't fit the definition. That leaves 5. My final answer....haha.

In my little grade school in the hills we had to list each president in order. We wrote them down. The teacher put a blank map of the United States on our desk. We had to fill in every state and the capital. This was in the 5th grade. I started school a few months before turning 6. We didn't have kindergarten so I started first grade. We were the baby boomers. Our moms didn't work so school was a shock. Most of us were brats. I remember standing in line to get spanked with a paddle. My first grade teacher was also my Sunday School teacher.

My niece is married to a man from Brazil. He had a green card when they married. He's a good hardworking man. It took him several years to become a citizen. He had to take a test about the United States. He had to know history and Geography and a whole lot more. He's a citizen now. I'm not getting political but they're talking about giving all these people coming across the border citizenship. That's not fair, My nephew was here several years before he got to apply for citizenship.

It's amazing what we remember. I remember being in 2nd grade or so and learning the books of the New Testament in song form. I still remember that song and I'm 55 now. As for the continent question, that is kind of tricky depending on what country you come from. In most English speaking countries, or those with a English speaking colonial past, they learn the 7 continent model but in a lot of other countries, they learn the 6 continent model. However, since I think most, if not all, are native Americans, they really should know this.
