Chili bean sauce is doubanjiang. I love mixing it with a little honey and using it to coat fried chicken. Next time you go to the asian supermarket I would also highly recommend picking up some tom yum soup paste - I hardly ever use it to make tom yum soup but I add it into lots of curries and stirfries and it really gives them an extra zing
