i was confused, that she doesnt know something very famous, but then i remembered, she most likely never had any work with people from manufacturing or it companies and dont have close friends there. But MicroTik basically invented wifi back in 1997 as we know it today. But yeh, its only known by people who actually know what is a tech company, not a poser and advertiser ( ex, apple ), who call europe a non tech continent, because a lot of these things come from small european countries which push the tech forward, like MicroTik has only 1.2B ravenue, but it invented WiFi as we know it today and advances it forward.

It is just a stereotype from the Past that Ukrainian and Russian are similar. A lot of Ukrainian words closer to Polish and Slovakian, russians do not know them. In the same time a lot of Russian words have similarities with Serbian, Bulgarian.... So proud of myself. I am smart enough to tell whether a language is a Romance, Germanic, or Slavic language, so when Latvian and Albanian came, it really threw me off, but I knew it had to be one of the smaller language families in Europe.

As a slavic speaker i could understand some latvian and it made me confused because i never heard such a slavic language. Then i remembered that baltic and slavic language are related and figured it may not be slavic but a baltic language. It sounds like a mixture of germanic and slavic to me.

As a Bulgarian, I wonder if he would be able to make the difference between Bulgarian and Russian, just as he's having hard time separating Ukrainian from Russian, which for me is a piece of cake, but I would laugh at myself trying to make the difference between Taiwanian, Indonesian, and.. other Asian languages. as Ukrainian native speaker i can say Ukrainian is more sound like Polish or Belarusian languages.Pls don`t compare Ukraine with russia, they always wanted to cancel Ukrainian language and make russian the main language to all USSR countries.(And erase other cultures languages). This is offensive when someone says Ukrainian sounds like russian or russia is similar with Ukraine.
