Making your own molding, tools, jigs, all that craftsmanship. I'm a fan. My dad used to put up molding, that cove stuff with the compound miters. I don't know what method he used. Those things can drive you nuts. He made his own molding too some as I recall

Great eye and a confident hand. The result is a beautiful but functional piece of art that I'm sure will be treasured forever.

Mr. Sullivan, Sir. Thank you for sharing your projects. I appreciate your attention to detail and fit-up. I was taught similar practices by a craftsman (steel) father. Your projects have allowed me to work in isolation which is very soothing to my PTSD. My first wife was Japanese (Nisei), so I think I will be making a few of these using different exotic woods for my Sansei daughters. Thanks again for your efforts.

You, sir, are an artist. Me? I'll stick with my straight lines and standard 45deg miters in my box making. Well done.

We are! It's a very beautiful box that currently sits on some display shelves in our dining room (near another box that Patrick also made for us). Hilariously, Patrick told us that he understood if we didn't want the box or wanted to get rid of it.

Michael Sullivan nice to hear the outcome, thank you. Patrick certainly knows how to make really beautiful boxes that carries love, sweat and sometimes blood but happily none went on this one! LOL Enjoy it (he typed enviously) 😉… happy new year to you all 👍🏼😊
