That's basically where all of the uchiha techniques came from, Shintoism. Why else do you think the first time Izanami was used in a cave? Because the goddess Izanami fled into the underworld after giving birth to a god of fire (who was then cut into 6 pieces that each became new gods).

Phav -_ Bahia Susanoo is the god of storms and the sea... who happened to have been resentful of Amaterasu, to which she then fled and hid in a cave until the other gods had to lure her out with a mirror.

The story sounds a little like Jesus's death, when the light of the world had fallen, and then his resurrection and promise of coming back once more, which was shown in Amaterasu's return. The bloodied horse probably refers to the speed of the growing followers of Christ, and the blood probably refers to the time when Jesus carried his cross, bloodied with the crown of thorns, or the persecutions of Jesus' followers.
