would love to see a mod for this that goes smth like: - you start as normal, normal texturepack etc. - you get some nice progression research stuff to keep you busy with the game and making you build a base etc. - at the end of the research tree you can build a time portal that sends you into the future. now your old world gets loaded into a new realm but every block you already build gets a "run down, cracked up" kinda look with some additional vines and trees placed all over it. but the new blocks you craft / place all use the futuristic texturepack. maybe to give it some futuristic feeling some random gen prebuild structures could also be generated (dungeon style) into the futuristic world, already utilizing the futuristic texturepack. i dont know if its possible to tell the game to use this texturepack for this and that texturepack for that within one world, but that would be pretty immersive :D (so long as you dont destroy and replace the blocks from the past)
