Good afternoon, thank you for posting your video. I enjoyed tremendously taking mental notes. These are beautiful flowers with no scent. If it was not for your video I would not have discovered there is a water soluble potassium and phosphate fertilizer. Not to worry, a tiny bit to start. This was one of those spontaneous moments for me. I was at Lowe's and there was a sign on a cart for all Asiatic lilies. $40.00. I asked. I bought the cart. When I got home I counted them, 74 adult plants in all. I like the black grow bags from China. I have some of those orange resin containers too. I bought scented perennials, deer came and ate them down. Glad to see my backyard will be a sight to wake up too. Good day.

@phoenixflame1892 жыл бұрын
Hello! First of all, thank you for making these videos, they've been so helpful! 💖 I have recently bought myself an Asiatic lily bulb and I was wondering how early I would have to separate and replant them. I'm fairly new to planting in general, and the bulb I bought when it arrived had two big stems so I thought they just appeared like that. Would I have to break/separate the parent bulb now or wait until they look like they do in the video? It's been almost a week since they first peeked through the ground and they are 4 - 5 cm stems from the ground. Also I didn't realize how soon my bulbs would have extra shoots, but they currently have one now so that was a nice surprise and nice to learn they make shoots in this video. 😊
@SanaAsGARDEN2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your nice comment. well if you have two shoots , it definitely means you have two bulbs in that pot. onlt one shoot comes out of one bulb. go with your gut feeling and how confident you’re to seperate them, if you think they are too tender and might break, wait a little. or may be just divide them next year .

Very informative content! Thanks for sharing. I have a lot of small bulblets(same size as the smallest bulbs in this video) on my Asiatic lilies this spring. Will they be able to flower the next year? Or does it take about 2 years for the bulbs to fully mature?
@SanaAsGARDEN3 жыл бұрын
Thnankyou. Am glad it was helpful. The tiny ones much likely will flower in their second year of planting. If ur bulblets are atleast 1 inch in diameter, they will have one or two flowers the first year. Environment for these lilies is Most Favorable there, here in Lahore only 5/6 months are suitable for these lilies. Blooming is perfect here but saving the bulbs is main issue for beginners . refrigerator the only source to save them for next season. Alhamdulilah i am successful in this regard. Daffodils are also in my collection but Tulips can,t.

What soil did you use and what is the mixture ratio.
@SanaAsGARDEN4 жыл бұрын
I use a pre mixed bag of soil and compost. Bulbs of this lily should never sit in soggy soil. Work up sandy or clay soil(25-30%)by adding organic, well-composted materials(70%)Peat moss, sand or straw mixed into the pots before planting Asiatic lilies improves drainage. Soil should drain well but hold moisture to nourish the growing lilies. I hope this helps
