I've been following the nimbus series since version 18. I currently have two pairs of version 26 (platinum and light blue) they are perfect for walking, running, extremely comfortable. I bought the white nimbus 27, waiting for it to arrive.

I'm excited to get my pair of the Gel-Nimbus 27 ! I loved the 26 for being much more versatile ,faster and stable than the Gel-Nimbus 25. But on the other hand I missed the mushy feeling of the v25, even if that middlesole made hard to make me pick up the pace . It seems that this Gel-Nimbus 27 is exactly a middle ground between the two previous Nimbus : it is stable, probably almost as fast as the V26 with the advanced comfort of the Premium luxurious v25 . Great job Asics !

I'm still with Nimbus 25. It is the best high cushioned shoes I have so far. From what I read, 26 and 27 are just marginally better.

In 2024 I've become big fan of asics and its nimbus, one of not many max cush shoe that I'm looking to put on 😅 25 have slightly better geometry for my mechanics but prefer feel of firmer 26 - big problem of both is very hot upper - not good for Australian conditions, chence im looking forward v27 as looks like they trim down on upper material so even I'm not fan of softer foam still most likely will pick up if find colorway i like 😁

It’s possible they called it a knit. It really felt like more of a mesh to me though. The 26 was a more traditional knit

Just picked up the 26 on sale. It a niche shoe for me as I have the Novablast 5 and Super Blast 2 but wanted something for slower longer runs. Price point for the 27 is too high.

Nice review! Which one do you recommend between the Nimbus 27 and the 1080 v14 for someone who has high toes with sensitive nails?

I think maybe the 1080 just because the toe box doesn’t get as narrow

I loved the 26 except I ended up with a hole at my big toe on one foot within a few months. It’s weird because I’ve had so many running shoes and that has never happened before. I’m hoping the upper of the 27 is more durable.

Great review. I'm up for a new daily come spring time and I'm stuck between 3 shoes. The nimbus 27, NB Balos, and NB more v5. I want something comfortable for everyday easy miles. Something softer than my superblasts. What do you think?

How would you compare it to the asics glideride max? I really enjoyed the nimbus 25 but pronated more than I would like

GlideRide max has a better rocker but definitely going to be firmer

I don’t think you can go wrong with either really. Nimbus 27 is more squishy, glycerin max is soft but not as squishy of a cushion. At the moment I’d probably lean more nimbus 27 but I love both!

LOL, there is nothing cleaner than a white colorway UNTIL I take it for its first run. Just can't do it. Give me color or I'm not buying it unless I am absolutely in love with the shoe. But there is always another shoe. LOL. Still, thank you for the reviews. My feet appreciate them.

Well anything is better than the nimbus 26 which is noisy, clunky, hard with zero return and just feels flat!, just downright crap 💩 after what was a great shoe in the nimbus 25. But then maybe I just got a bad pair 😢 and to be honest puts me off buying the 27.
