Hello Heller I bought these shoes and used them for the first time in a race the very next day. I broke them in during the race, and they were bouncy, responsive, and propulsive. They can handle both slow and easy runs. I tried them on a 32km race, and throughout the run, I felt protected. They supported my high arch well during the entire race. Even when I encountered uneven terrain, including unmetalled roads (also known as gravel roads or dirt roads), they felt protective. The bounce protected my legs, calves, and other parts of my legs.

ever since I picked up my Superblast OG for the first time, they have been my undisputed favorite running shoe of all time. Hard to think they could make them better but hey: Im certainly willing to find out! I now feel that Emily and I have similar shoe preferences, so now you have become my trusted "shoe guru" (so to speak). Epic run footage in this one! Love that music choice. The SB2 is sounding pretty good... Been really enjoying the ride of Adidas SL2 lately. The Superblast would probably be a good long run companion to round things out.

LETS GO! I do really hope the outsole is better in wet conditions. It looks like it. I also hope the upper holds better because as you aid you really had to tighten the laces and at about 230 miles in the OG i have developed a hot spot while wearing thinner socks which is weird..

Great review. I love my Novablast 4 and can't wait to get a pair of Superblast 2. NB 4 has some bounce, but it would be nice to go to the next level and the fact they made FF Blat Turbo+ lighter and softer, yet bouncier is a dream come true. As for the price it's the same as SB1, $200 in USA.

I have not gotten new shoe for awhile as I have not been running, but the SB2 would be the shoe I think I will get. I wanted to try other shoes, but this just shows that the SB1 and SB2 are going to be what I stick with.

Probably I will only get this one if my OG Superblast gets damaged or destroyed. But since the OG Superblast is built like a tank, I don't think I'll be getting the 2nd version anytime soon. The FF Turbo is one of my favorite shoe foams and for me I don't see the upgrade to the Turbo+ as a significant upgrade. Thank you for the review. 😊

Hello, great channel! I found it while looking for different opinions about shoes. Thanks for the knowledge you share. I would like to ask for your opinion: Asics Superblast 2 vs New Balance Elite V4 - which of these shoes would you recommend to a 90 kg muscular man who is starting preparations for a half-marathon. I currently have a New Balance Elite V3 and I'm looking for a second pair of shoes. I want one for longer runs, the other for fast/interval runs. I can have both Superblast 2 and NB Elite V4 at exactly the same price, so I'm considering which one to choose.

I like the Superblast 1, and I get a lot of use out of it, but I wouldn’t say I love it. I don’t think it’s the GOAT shoe that a lot of enthusiasts make it out to be. I was thinking I was going to pass on the update. The shift from FF Turbo to FF Turbo+ might be a game changer though…

Totally agree. The SB 1 is the most overrated shoe. Endorphin Speed 3 was light years better. The FF Turbo+ has me intrigued too. Love the Edge and Sky Paris.

You didn’t try v1? You should have so you can feel the difference in comparison to v2. I believe ASICS has occupational discount program that can drop the price by 10-25 percent if you happen to fit the occupation they require.

I was loving the review until the end when she says the shoe is worth it at any price under 300. I know influencers get shoes for free but I wish they considered value in their reviews for the 90% of us without unlimited funds. Would this really be worth $300 when there is great trainers for $140 like Mach 6, or a very good supertrainer for $180 in the Mizunos?

I mean I was kinda being sarcastic about the 300 bucks.. I’m well aware of the fact that i get shoes for free and obviously $200 is a lot to spend on a shoe. But if you have the funds, and you’re looking for a shoe like this then I think it’s worth it over the Mach 6 and Neo Vista. If you’re looking to spend less, those are other great options but in this video I’m focusing on the SuperBlast. I don’t say a shoe is worth it unless I would put my own money behind it.

You’re absolutely correct that you can run a marathon in it, Kofuzi ran CIM in super blast one a few years ago, and he said it felt great. This may be a possible marathon shoe for bigger runners.

@@muscfiorentina I find myself listening to FOD Runner more so because he at 90 kg weight he is very similar to me so his feet and force that he’s putting into a shoe will be more similar to me than somebody of a Kofuzi or a SJD body type. BITR is fine. All of them are fine but I generally only find Robbe interesting.., he can tell a story, and isn’t a half bad interviewer.

Hey that’s awesome!!! Yes I’d absolutely recommend this shoe for a marathon. This shoe has response, protection and comfort. You’ll see people say this shoe isn’t “race legal” because of the stack height but for non elites it doesn’t really matter.

I think you like this shoe 😂. I’ve never been able to wear ASICS before as they were too narrow. Now I’ve just bought a pair of Nimbus 26 and I’m wondering whether I can try any other ASICS shoe… You said it was narrow in the mid foot…..how does it compare with the width of the Nimbus? I currently have a pair of NB 1080v13 for my easy days but tbh, they feel boring to run in. Would the SB2 be a good alternative?

That’s a tough one If you want a full blown racer I’d go MetaSpeed edge but if you’re looking for something with a little more versatility, go superblast

Good question. Very different rides. Cielo is going to feel a lot crazier underfoot with a more “wow” vibe, if that’s what you’re looking for I’d say go Cielo. If you want something that feels awesome but more practical I’d go SB2

I wish I could run in Superblast & Novablast but if I do anything over 5 miles I get blisters. Tried different sizes and shoe/sock combos and every anti-chafe out there 😩 I think heavier runners have an issue with the soft foams (6’2 220) Any other tall/muscular/heavier people have similar issues 🤷‍♂️

Thanks. Have it, but wouldn't use it for daily trainer. Novablast 4 is cheaper, and has a better outsole for grip. Novablast 4 can do more training runs, as I won't use the Superblast 2 for Fartleks or strides. Can do both with the Novablast 4. It's a great long run shoe and recovery shoe. I guess rich people can waste their money on it for daily training.🤷🏻

I have had to replace laces on half a dozen running shoes in the past few years. Some of the stock laces are crap, and on the Novablast 3 one of the laces was several inches shorter than the other one. 😮

The v1 has nothing wrong with the upper in what concerns to breathability! Bought them half price. It's not worthy the 220€ here. End of story!
