I agree, that would be a great video. Especially because men tend to hide their insecurities a lot more then women do, probably due to social stigmas around being "sensitive". I think it could be a really good thing.
@haylemichelle4391

Zoe Purcell that doesn’t mean men aren’t insecure. Men are expected to be these tall, strong, toned beasts. Most men don’t look like that. Just like most women aren’t a size 2
@asideofpickles574
@asideofpickles574 4 жыл бұрын
hayle michelle he said that men’s securities aren’t talked about as much. I was explaining why. Society doesn’t expect them to be absolutely perfect appearance-wise. It’s more about their career and the money they make and for girls it’s about a pretty face. I’ve seen a lot of beautiful women with a lot of questionable creatures. Haven’t you heard of sugar daddies?
@haylemichelle4391
@haylemichelle4391 4 жыл бұрын
Zoe Purcell they do, they have the same standards for men as they do for women. On top of the money they make. And I don’t know if you know this or not but those “questionable creatures” that the “beautiful women” are with, those men could have the most amazing personality and be the sweetest things ever but you’re judging them on their looks. It’s pisses me off to hear that because people say the same thing about my husband and I absolutely think he’s the most gorgeous person ever. And have you ever heard of sugar mommies?

But I'm still insecure about it because some girls have it more then others and for some it's more visible. But just don't really know what to do. 100Stratusfiedx i know I didn’t notice it at all at first. I have really bad acne but I’m super pale, so it’s REALLY noticeable. White skin and bright red marks all over my face. And I have chronic dry skin, so my skin will peel, crack and flake, no matter how much lotion I put on. So I can’t wear makeup often because it will look patchy and will dry my skin even more, making me flake and peel even more. Seeing someone with acne embrace it was inspiring, even if I think her acne was barely noticeable. Edit: Yes I’ve tried everything and I’ve been to multiple dermatologists, I don’t want any internet doctors advice

Whenever me and my friends talk about our insecurities, they end up dismissing mine because I am insecure about my waist; nevertheless, I am considered ‘skinny.’ I may have a thinner body; however, the angle at which I look down at my body makes me insecure. I hate how people don’t believe that skinny people can have insecurities because, at the end of the day, those are the people who are worsening worsening others’ views on body image. Those are the people who make me feel bad.

My biggest insecurity is how flat chested and skinny I am. Ppl are always calling me flat and how I look like a stick. I’m naturally skinny and I’m not anorexic even though ppl think that I am. It’s so hard to be a rlly thin girl when the world wants curves. It’s not my fault I don’t have boobs or a butt. I’m not as “thicc” as the media wants me to be. All of my friends have boobs and curves and I look like a 10 year old boy next to them. I fell like it’s so hard to feel feminine or sexy since I don’t have qualities that are considered sexy. Edit: I feel so much better reading these replies and I just wanted to say thank you💖

I feel yaaaa. I guess we may not haves qualities which are considered sexy now like big boobs and booty but there's aways legs and stomach which is sexy. I thinks sexiness is mostly about how confident you act, beauty can be seen through so many body types. The most common body type for women is rectangle anyway, so even the media portrays a version of women which is less common to be born with. You should look up to skinny celebrities to help boost confidence (ive been admiring Miley Cyrus lately). Dont forget those sexy runway models are skinny with fewer curves!

My hyperpigmentation and cystic pimples can be chaotic and take months to fade. This started from elementary school as well. However no one should be made to feel like they shouldn’t be unhappy because they have it “less worse” than others. Everyone’s allowed to be uncomfortable about whatever they want, regardless of if we have it worse or less 💕

Lets be honest here they probs didnt have someone else with insecurities and they put her in. My insecurities: my weight, my hip dips, my stomach fat, my flat chest, I’m short, and my anxiety is about online school and showing my face and talking (on zooms) and I’m also so so nervous and scared to go to high school . And I’m short which isn’t a bad thing but sometimes I feel shorter then everyone else.. but hearing about the girl with big breasts.. I still have and need time to grow and even if I do stay flat chested I should be happy but still insecurities are still there.. I’m only 13 too. But honestly my biggest things are my stomach fat, hip dips, my crooked teeth and going to high school..

It sucks the most when it's your family judging you :( I'm confident in myself and I like myself as a person, but my dad constantly feels the need to add his two cents, specifically when it comes to my hair and weight. It's annoying, but I just think "who is he to put his prejudice ideas on me and make me feel bad?". I don't care what he thinks or anyone else. As long as you show off confidently, nothing that anyone says can penetrate that bubble of self love you have. I have acne and have had it since middle school, but I never hid it with makeup because I didn't want to let myself use it as a cover. I knew that once I started, I would feel the need to maintain it, so I just didn't. I decided that I would show my full self so that the people who came into my life would only be able to see the real me and like me for me. And guess what? Now I have a great best friend who constantly encourages me and I her. Also, guys still were interested in me despite my acne and my skin, which by the way has dark marks almost everywhere. Show people from the get go who you are and they can either take it or leave it. The ones who choose to take it acknowledge who you really are and don't sweat those insecurities you have. It may not be easy at first, lord knows I was insecure about the dark spots on my body for the longest, but now I just say screw it. People may stare for a second, but that's just human nature. You quickly realize that while you're shrinking into a ball on the inside thinking everyone is staring at you, when you actually stop to look around, no one is even paying attention. They may ask what happened, but instead of getting insecure, answer them calmly and like it's nothing then they will also think nothing of it and move on 🤷🏽‍♀️ you'll start to become more confident with every step. Edit: omg I didn't expect to get this many likes o.o you're all too kind ;-;

Same with my dad. He joked that my stretch marks were from me getting fat. It didn’t make me feel ashamed of myself but I was hurt by it since it was my own dad who told me that. It’s even worse when my brother chimes in and agrees. My brother tries to put it off as ‘we were just joking’ or he’ll just laugh. He thinks that if it’s a joke, it won’t hurt anyone. That if he just says he’s just joking then the person can’t feel hurt or that what he said wasn’t wrong. When it comes from your family saying those things, it hurts the most.

@@blazxe_ That dismissal of feelings is also a theme with my dad. Sadly, guys especially seem to have the tendency to dismiss the feelings of a woman because they have that idea in their head that females are just overly emotional all the time. Not all guys are like that, obviously, but the older generation of men are highly susceptible to that mentality. It gets even more complex when you involve things like culture and religion into the mix, but it definitely hurts and I'm sorry you have to deal with that 😕 I would suggest sitting them down to explain how what they say makes you feel, if you haven't already. If it doesn't work, then you keep up that mentality of not being ashamed. And if you want to lose weight, don't do it for them but for yourself. I understand that struggle of trying to lose weight though. It's hard to stay motivated and find something that works for you. I'm currently trying out something that involves not depriving yourself of things you like, but instead making a healthy decision every day, so that over time you lose weight without even realizing it. It may not be the fastest method, but you have to start somewhere right? Anyway, didn't mean to ramble on, but I just want you to remember that the things they say don't define you. As long as you love yourself as you are, that's all that matters :)

I have acne from my face all the way down to my legs, I'm literally covered in it. My back and shoulders are the worst parts, I have so much acne scarring there aswell as acne in general. I always see these girls in cute tank tops and tshirts and I'm always like "damn I wish I could wear that". I've been so insecure about it and it keeps getting worse and worse. Recently I had to have surgery on my back and I was so scared that the surgeons would be disgusted because of my acne. I know acne is normal and stuff, yet I feel so different.. I just wanna be like everyone else, I wanna go to beach and swim in the sea, I wanna be able to wear tshirts or tank tops during the hot summers and I wanna feel comfortable with my body. I'm very proud of you guys for being so courageous, you guys are an inspiration. I hope to be as strong as you one day 💖

I’ve lived my entire life so far covering and covering, wearing makeup over and over again everyday to skl and whenever I go anywhere. I’m 15. I’ve been suffering for 4 years. What I can say is I’ve recently started accutane and I’m waiting for the results. I would like to add that my mum had this too but when she turned 20ish it finally stopped. Literally me as a teen, now at 24 I'm not too bad. Yes I pose for face photos, but my stomach-I got stretch marks around my belly button that were only really talked about with pregnant women (oh you're a tiger because you grew a human) well I didn't, I grew that way and it was such a shameful topic for me, to the point where I wouldn't ever be topless infront of my then boyfriend. I remember going to his after being on holiday and I'd tanned on my back- he said 'ugh, you' ve been scratched' and I realised it was stretch marks on my shoulder blades, I've never felt so worthless. Now I'm with my best friend and waltz around naked 75% of the time and he doesn't even see them, he just looks at the rest at thinks 'GODDAMN!!' and I love that. Xxxxx

I like my acne scars to be honest....I used to have severe acne...still do get a few from time to time but thankfully..not as bad anymore. When I noticed it started fading...I felt a little sad. I started seeing these scars in a way like they're "trophies" ....because it proved that I was strong. I managed to get through so much negativity and hurtful comments that people have said ...about my acne and hyperpigmentation that the acne caused.....they said it to my face and behind my back. These acne scars became a part of me. It was like "battle scars" to me...just a little less dangerous. (Deep respect to all the soilders out there who risk their lives or lost their lives in order to protect their people) Don't let people put you down just because of your "flaws" . These "flaws" are proof that you are strong enough to carry on with your day...where as these rude people won't even manage a day. I like my acne scars. Always will. They don't cause me any harm...so it's all good ^^ Hope what I said helps anyone out there who might be struggling 🙃☺️

Totally relate to Nina, growing up in a house full of B cup women and being DD. I went to one bra fitting in 2013 and $60 later I was a new woman. I'm still struggling with the hyper pigmentation a bit. I remember a time I wouldnt even leave my house without makeup when I was younger, I hit 30 and lost a leg in an accident and suddenly those things didn't seem as important

i remember when i was younger a close friend of mine told me that i had acne all over my face. i was already really insecure about it, but i tried to brush it up. her words have really stayed with me since then. your words do matter.

I think that this photographer captures what other people see and how we can always see other people's beauty but not our own. This is such an amazing message.

When i think abt it,i don't really have any insecurity.i love my body they way it is,with its flaws and imperfection. I hope one day everyone feels this way abt their body bc believe it or not,we all have flaws and we should embrace them instead of being ashamed of them. :) Love you my beautiful girls you are all amazing❣

⚠️Trigger warning!⚠️ ⚠️Self harm and depression mentioned⚠️ I have a HUGE insecurity about my thighs and arms because I self harmed almost all over my body. So I can DEFINITELY relate to this. So many times at school when I'm wearing shorts, because my thighs are the worst, I get comments like "What's all over your thighs??" One time, a girl asked me during gym, she saw my arms and said "Did you like.. with a razor?" And made slitting motions. I didn't really know how to respond. I also normally don't go swimming anymore because of it. I want to like embrace it, but I can't because it was such a traumatizing part of my life.

Literally I only just noticed Cheska's arm! Good for you though ladies - it shouldn't need bravery to accept 'imperfections', but unfortunately in this world it does, which makes it all the more impressive x
