I've witnessed multiple surgeons who on a regular practice pray before, during and after surgeries. One petite general surgeon i worked with was Jamaican and with her accent I had to listen very carefully. Sometimes she would be praying and talking with Jesus, sometimes she would talk to herself and sometimes she would be asking for an instrument. I absolutely loved working with her as she was humble and thankful and knows God is the Ultimate Healer! She hasn't had an easy life but still she is filled with the Holy Spirit. I was an OR RN with 35 years service in a hospital.

I’m also from Ukraine and I’m Greek Catholic, so I just recently learned that our church is united to Rome! I fell in love with Catholic Church and so happy to find out that I’m Catholic and always was 🙌❤️🌸
@michaelszilagyi45294 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are the orthodox and than there are the eastern rites of the catholic church. He could've done a better job explaining that. Orthodox are the ones that are not in full union with the Church, but if the parish ends with "something catholic", like byzantine, ruthenian, etc, they are in full communion
@nataliyabeley5004 жыл бұрын
Michael Szilagyi we have to do research on things like that, because I learned it with my catholic priest (he didn’t know ether) He spoke to Greek Catholic priests and found out that they are in union with Rome 🙏

Thank you Father Mike for your inspiring words. I have learned so much. I am not Catholic (yet) but after listening to 'the Bible in a year' podcast many times through 'the Hallow app' and many of the prayers and Novenas my heart is drawn to the faith. I pray the Rosary often, especially when I am frustrated with trials in my life and I find myself relaxing from my frustration. Thank you for being a beautiful Priest.

AFTER one becomes divorced, can I still be a good catholic under God’s laws???
@meandmysis2779 Жыл бұрын
@@aidaraquelsoto9938 I don't know. Maybe. I remarried after my divorce and now that I am widowed I choose to remain so. My 1st marriage was a mistake. My new husband was the man our Father had intended. It was right in all aspects. We followed the chain of hierarchy, God first, each other second and all others afterwards. I am not Catholic. I would like to be but the nearest parish is 18 miles away. For the time being, I will suffice with online learning. Good luck finding your answer. God bless.

@PowerTime88 com the Bible says that the first miracle Jesus has ever done (the one with the wine at the Canaan wedding) was because of Mary repeatedly asking him to do it for the guests. So i suppose this is a proof that the Scripture allows praying to saints. And in the end, why not pray to them? They are closer to God than us, and it's just as if we were asking a friend to pray for us.

Father Mike, You are the best "BULL'S EYE Preacher" , and, Confessor, on You Tube channels, and, certainly anywhere! You are God-centered, you anchor and then, channel, your explanations through the Catechism. You are a "top" Tutor. This is something so needed to help those of us----ALL---- of us born not knowing, so that we can get to know, and, FEEL, God, and then be able to "troubleshoot", and, fight back, those who are out to confuse us, and to evaporate faith in the One, True God in us and others---- the soldiets of the "evil one" who are, lethally, everywhere!!!!+

A story about praying the rosary distractedly: I heard that my grandmother died yesterday, in the middle of my workday (which also includes homeschooling my kid during this lockdown). I put on the Ascension Presents rosary video and let it play in my headphones in the background while I worked and parented. It brought me so much peace. I didn't have the ability to choose to disappear for 20 minutes, so I did what I could, and it was an amazing help.
