What Uni doesn't tell you: during your first months as an international in Groningen, you'll either be homeless or paying 100 euros per night for a hotel/hostel, since finding student accommodation is nearly impossible. Consider yourself lucky if you've found your first accommodation by December, and be prepared to pay 700+ euros per month for a small room with shared facilities. The University doesn't care though, as long as you pay your tuition fees.
