Hi, I'm 27 fused from T4 to L5, just 3 weeks ago, it went almost well, but the doctor told me that to never sit on the ground, is it possible sometimes I can sit on the ground, ? And what to use for the scar ?

Hi - Just seen your video. I am 3 months post surgery, having had a lumbar fusion (L4, 5, S1). I am still in a fair amount of pain, but most especially when I have pushed myself during the day. I'm back at work and so up for most of the day, sitting, walking, standing. Interested in how much bed rest you had during the first 3 to 6 months post your surgery?

Hi, hope you are doing well 3 months post surgery! At 3 months (I was age 14) I was back at school but I would only do a morning. I found sitting and being out and about all day really hard. After being out for the morning I would then be resting reclined on the sofa for the rest of the day as this was where I was most comfortable (still am!) You are doing really well being back at work! Recovery takes a lot of time! Sarah x

Hi. Do you still have a scar from the scoliosis surgery or has it gone after 9 years? And secondly, are you able to bend your back backwards and dance?

Hi, yes still have the scar. I cannot bend my back backwards but I can dance no problems!

Hii ..I just came across ur vlogs and they are very nice and informative.....I am 3 years post surgery. I just wanted to know that if my back accidentally gets hit by a door or something else then will it affect my spine or implants ??

Hi, at three years post surgery you should be nice and fused now☺️ my surgeon said to me that after 1 year post surgery I should be all okay unless I get hit by a bus haha! But I can only speak for myself. I still try and be careful even 10 years post surgery x
