Thanks so much for confirming (even if loosely) that the notion you can desensitize leydig cells with more than, say, 500iu/day is a myth. Despite the prevalence of the idea on forums, I haven't found any studies to support it, either. Werd.

I have experienced my self that the leydig cells will be desensitized with a dose of 500 iu/ e3d for 6 months. I stopped responding to HCG completely. My doctor told me that HCG will always stop working, how long it will take depends on the dosage/ frequency and your age. HCG is not a long term treatment option. However, the desensitization is reversable. To get the leydig cells to respond to HGC again, they need to be exposed to FSH for months and months. For me, it took 9 months off TRT before I was back (I visited the grim reaper a couple of times during this time), after 12 months my testes produced MORE test from the same amount of LH and FSH than before the usage of HCG. But, I don't recommend long term HCG usage, it's hell to re-sensitize the leydig cells. Over the 12 months, my LH went from 22 down to 5, and the test increased from 150 to 550 ng/dL.

Hello Doc, need you help with ED. I have low platless count for years but slightly about 125 is count, also have Ed for off and on for past 5 years. A little over a month ago my TRT clinic suddenly took me off of HCG and switched me over to Gonadorelin, and pretty much instantly my libido vanished into thin air. I've been on TRT since March of this year, and after about three months I started having a sex drive like I was 20 years old again. However, once they switched me from HCG to Gonadorelin, I have absolutely no libido now, and once again suffer from chronic ED. It was like being given a ride for a couple of months on a magic carpet, and then having that carpet ripped out from under me. I'm now at a loss as to what to do. Feeling pretty darn worthless now.

Hi last night after training really hard on the bag. I was sitting in my room and my hands and feet got really cold. I had a head ace confusion and dizzness I was loosing my Ballance I quickly look up why I was so cold it was about 72 degrees in my room. I took a b12 complex and felt better. I just came off a cycle and on a cruise now of 200mg test e per week and 100mg primo. I definitely feel.the lower libido and erectile function than when inwas on cycle. I am going to see my gf in 2.5 weeks. Is there any way to increase test fast? I can bump my dose of test e up buy that won't kick in for what 3 weeks? What if I use my HCG? I’m on TRT, but stopped HCG a couple years ago. About a year and a half ago, I completely lost my libido. I never thought I wouldn’t have a libido when my total testosterone was around 1000. I’m learning now that I may need HCG to restart my own testosterone production in order to get to get my libido back. Hopefully 🤞

@@chrisperez7710 No not yet. It’s only been a couple of weeks though. Maybe slight improvement. Far from what it was just a couple of years ago. I do 400 mg of testosterone cypianate injections per week, so maybe that is suppressing my own production still.

hey doc remember to always run antibodies os thyroid.. and total and free hormones as well TSH. plays a role in plolactin... es estradiol. specially T3 activates more de 5 alpha reductase enzyme. thyroid issues.. can make low líbido, not wanting to do stuff. changes in smell that is important for libido while engaging... in the moment... pregnenolone or dhea-s.. always check iron ferritin.. transferrin... and other vitamins and minerals. by the way iron plays a huge role in tyrosine conversion to dopamine. and always check c peptide.. oral glucose test... HBa1C... fasted glucose and fasted insulin levels. can tell many líbio issues and many estradiol issues. it's best to split the 250 mg in 3 weekly injections. less spikes on estádio and less prolactin. and keep that blood flow down there strong. all he best doc

you need cabergoline to control your prolactin. Your anxiety, depression and dick problems go away with it. I ran tren and deca for 20 weeks then stopped and just did 500mg test per week and mh prolactin levels were left sky high as high as you can imagine. Dontshowmyname1 I am serious. I’m 51. Labs 8 weeks ago 420 total Test, 7.2 free. All other panels off the charts good. Protocol: 200mg Test C once per week, HCG 50IU 2x per week, .25mg aromatase inhibitor. (8 weeks). All injections but for aromatase which is a pill. Recent labs: 1,500 total Test, 36 free Test. Waking up every night multiple times with wood. Never had a issue getting it up if my wife was into it, but now I’m seeking. (Sorry to get to personal). Also lifting again 12 sets per body part 6 times per week and 40 min of cardio each day. Stronger every week and recovery times are super short between sets. Diet is solid. Never took anything in my entire life until now. All those years lifting and nothing but aminos etc. TRT has been life changing for me at 51. It’s weird, feel like I’m 25 again. Now my doc is dialing my test down to 150mg per week. Hope that helps.

hi , im 57 years old. I was on trt for 2 years, started when I was 54. 60 mg twice a week, no hcg, no estrogen pills just testosterone. felt great, lots of energy, sex great, no man boobs, but did experience brittle hair which I hated but could live with. I have to admit, I had a bad diet, a bit overweight and very little exercise. after the first year, I would still have an increased libido but had a problem holding an erection. that and not wanting to inject anymore and worse forever. I decided to get off and I did cold turkey (bad move I know). I just stopped. its been about 16 months now. my libido was nothing in the beginning so I used Cialis for a while and that worked pretty good. all my other levels are good now, my testosterone is very low but within normal range. my free testosterone is low. the one thing I miss is the energy and libido of course. I am getting older and thinking about getting back on after learning about sub q injections. what do you think about re starting?

Carlos Salenas Pretty sage, everyone metabolizes it differently. 200mg causes my hematocrit to increase and I get more sides. Higher T doesn’t always mean that you’ll feel better. Some guys feel better in the 800-900 range rather than 1200+.

This doesn't answer the question clearly. Most TRT protocols recommend 250iu HCG twice/week. You are recommending a higher dose of 750iux2/week to 1500iux1/week HCG for libido purposes? Otherwise, you mention don't go too low with an AI. You suggest ideal E2 sensitive range is 15-20 to 25-30 pg/ml.
