I learned more listing to this than I did in the 10 years I lived in Detroit. Thanks for sharing so much history and production information here and on your channel Keith. If only people had been this open in Detroit and had not been so underground to the point that everyone had to waste half their time to figure out their own version of the wheel when the guy a few blocks over already figured it out.

I wish every producer would be that nice and humble as Keith is.

It’s just great and inspiring to see the brotha’s doing this especially with all the EDM and commercialism over shadowing the real sources.

That was inspiring. Always good to hear from you and getting details on the backround of your production (René from MAS 2008 writing). I am really greatfull you stated the question that is/was back in my head for quite some time: Why don´t thex use Electro in SiFi music? So true. And don´t know the answer, really. But I am glad to hear that you are going into scoring. Can´t wait to see and hear that. Keep it going Keith

Holy sh*t your comments about sci fi movie soundtracks is so accurate! If I ever were to make such a film techno and electro would be the soundtrack. It’s music of the future, why dont directors understand that?
@detroitologist3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, why is the music industry not using electro and techno in movies?Just look at Keith's studio, that's sci-fi right there! I love it. And why hasn't electro been accepted in the dance music scene? Dj's are still limiting their mixing and playing it safe. Even with mixing going digital few people take risks. It's pretty common that people play music in their genre and might play some obscure track every one in a while to be cool. I never separated electro from techno from house. If you understand your music and play around with mixes in your head or on the decks you can learn to make things work. There were dj's in Detroit who were not letting anything or anyone limit their creativity in mixing. There were no music industry suits micro managing the entire techno party scene.
