Title it synth utopia, dont be throwing in modular as clickbait
@ElectronicBeatsTV6 жыл бұрын
He builded his studio modular, that's what he says in the interview. Nothing wrong about it. The definition of modular is designed with standardized units that can be fit together in a variety of ways. An example of modular used as an adjective is in the phrase "modular furniture," which means furniture made with standard units and parts.
@wilfamis6 жыл бұрын
sassy mobile companies, nice. yeah im well aware of what modular means, and i totally understand what anthony rother means by calling his set up modular, but the reality is that when we're talking modular in the same sentence as synthesizers there is a standard meaning, and that is the kind with that comes in a rack with patch cables. To title the video as about modular is, i think, wilfully misleading. but yeah i don't really mind, so it's not worth getting defensive over, i was just pointing it out as i and a few others in the comments obviously came here to geek out on modular synths
@wilfamis6 жыл бұрын
i realise it looks like i'm calling a perfectly sensible response sassy, but i was responding to telekom's original unedited response which was "you know what modular means, right?"

Great Guy, great video, cool topic Telekom. I also disagreed few times like Kelly here ;) - for instance when He said "I also have some analogue stuff like Lexicon and M-One and H8000 from Eventide" - actually these few effects while they sound amazing are one of the most digital stuff in the industry, like ever. Yeah I also don't like everyone slaps "Modular" (also Organic, Bio and Gluten-Free :D) label on everything- yeah, amazing collection of vintage synths but by design (they are mostly digital and they have only audio and midi output - no triggers, gates and control votages and all that modular jazz) they cannot connect with eachother like modular block are. Last but not least - "Look Mum, no computer attitude" - It's just too hard to believe he programmed Nord Modular on a typewriter machine, or those 2 monitors are just there for the mood... and PAZ Analyser. Just have fun, grab what you need and make music no need to act like You are a some sort enlightened monk of electro but thats my opinion- some people are after this I bet ;)

Kelly Merrill Rother, generic techno... o boy. his sound is pretty unique... to me at least.
