"I need to touch my music." Yes!! That's the perfect way of putting it into words. You hit the nail on the head about different pieces of gear being inspiring in different ways because of how we interface with them (as well as the sounds, obviously). Even my JV-2080 is staying despite how much more convenient the plugin would be. The black box with the green screen and slim rectangular buttons just puts me in the zone.

Kenny will be one the producers / DJs that'll be just be fine regardless of how this industry improves or doesn't. Those who are most adaptable and maintain a great attitude are gonna do the best. Those that have other skills, or are driven to learn new skills - they will figure it out.... and Kenny is one of those people. Take note....that's what this thing is all about now AND it's permanent. Nothing will ever be quite the same again. So don't get discouraged or give up.....just reevaluate how you can still make money doing things you're passionate about. The money will come, but we all gotta look a new angles. We're gonna be dealing with variants/mutations of the virus.....and government restrictions in certain places over the next couple years at a minimum. We all gotta look at this thing as a new part of our lives, and find creative ways to work with it - and around it. Hope all you techno/house heads are keeping your heads up and moving forward.
