I always appreciate John's perspective - he's so low-ego, low-drama, a great contrast to a lot of musicians.

Funny that Tejada would describe his tracks with a 'keep it simple' - his stuff often contains surprising elements / progressions, and is quite clever.. A humble guy - short and to the point - thanks a bunch for this video !

Hey, really glad you've added the questions read out! I often listen and half watch these and it was always confusing trying to understand what previous participants were talking about (was constantly re-winding to read the question when it appeared on screen). It's a little thing but made this MUCH easier to follow. Thank you!

Great - was looking forward to this - One of the best comments/answers of John I found - "Gear can definately inspire but can also paralyze" - I know this feeling and teach this my students as well. Be chill and feel blessed that you have the gear in front of you and give it time...

I loved his old stuff on Seventh City, Palette etc but since 15 years he releases nothing but crap. I have given up on him. His newer stuff sounds like something is shitting into my ears. I hate it when electronic musicians get "functional" and start making club bangers so they get more bookings. Good electronic music these days is only coming from people who don't have to make a living out of it. He is a talented guy but at some point in his career he made the choice not to be an artist anymore but instead become a service provider like a wedding DJ. Sad but true, but his recent stuff is as soulless and generic as it gets.
