Feelings and experiences might have strong impact on us as human beings, that does not make them evidence. The question is what is grabbing your attention and does the thing of worship match with reality? I mean what's really real, and is it worth my attention. There are alot of popular ideas that people turn to, but not necessarily match up with reality. Where do you turn to answer the big question about life such as does life have meaning? What's my place and/or the place of others around me? Are humans special, or are we just part of the hierarchy of the animal kingdom? Why is there life to begin with? Is there a GOD, and if so what does this GOD wants from us? Does my life have a purpose in the grand scheme of things? Why is there order instead of caos? Why is there beauty, or is there a such thing as beauty? Why do mankind have passions to explore things? Where we turn to answer these and other questions similar is what we are worshiping. This is where the Bible shows us the worthiness of our worship towards him, the creator of everything. He proved his worthyness by sending his son Jesus Christ to come down and die on the cross to regain a broken relationship between GOD and man when we rebelled against him in the garden. This is why there is death. One day death will be overcome. Death is the intruder in biological life in that we were designed to live forever. There are somethings if we are not careful to live life on assumptions that are not thought through but we agree with the premise. Take for example a famous qoute by Carl Sagan: "The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be. ..." from the documentary called Cosmos. He didn't say that there was no GOD but that is exactly what the qoute is saying. This is called asumptive philosophy and most dangerous because the idea is bought and the underlining ideas then get accepted without thinking through the idea. Many people have gone down tons of rabbit holes because of this. Take a step back, and you will have to come to the conclusion that something outside of time, space, matter that formed everything we see and don't see. The fool says in his heart there is no GOD. Read psalms 14. Also read psalms 19 dealing with creation screaming out about this creator. Theres to many relationships required to support life, that it couldn't have happen by accident. One perfect example a birds food supply is eating the decay off alligators teeth. Alligators and the bird has an agreement. There are other examples along this line as well. A very good example of what has been going on in the scientific community is the promotion of advocating for the evolution theory to the point of excluding other findings that question theory. This theory at its core is more than a scientific theory, it about a way to explain things in a way that don't require a creator of any kind. Like I was mentioning earlier in this post is that if a person buys the line of evolutionary thinking, then he/she will most likely come to the conclusion that no creator/GOD exists. On the other hand if evidence shows that there must have been a guiding hand, then people would be faced with the dilemma of who or what was behind this guiding hand? That's why there is a big fight on what science is and what science is not and what is going to be published in our school textbooks. From my own studies, I would have to conclude that there is a creator behind the created things, much in the same way as there is an artist behind a piece of art, or an author behind a book and so forth.

Even if it were literally true - the stories could still be embellished - with the authors adding their won flare, bias, and emotion into it. There are tons of Christian scholars who will agree with me on that.

Also, think of it as you have reacted the same way or you have done the same acts Aron has done that makes you mad. We have all committed the same sins. It’s about the way you perceive things that helps. Read the gospel of Mathew. Jesus says to love your enemies and to bless them. So another way to help you is that Jesus, our God commands us to love them and if we don’t we are disobeying him. So to help yourself have empathy is change your heart, which means come closer to Jesus, obey him and you’ll see your perspective of life change. The rest will follow.

The thing about a guy like Aron is that he most likely has an insignificant and lonely life. Faith is extremely important to me as to live a life with purpose and have a drive and knowing when life comes to an end my spirit will go to God next to Jesus and be in total peace and that the spirit is eternal! If I found out that there was no God I would feel life totally sucked and was a joke. I think Cliffe was stating that archaeology was helping prove the Bible because of the many references Biblically of cities / civilizations that were once thought to be only "made up" in the Bible but were later found and geographically where the Bible referred to them as being. I dont think he was saying the just the reference of the city/civilization itself was proof for the Bible.
