NONE OF THEM have genuinely read the Bible, especially Noah’s ark. God didn’t “choose his favorite people” to save, in fact, he ALLOWED Noah to warn others to join him on the ark. He WARNED THEM FOR YEARS but they refused and mocked him. Why don’t they mentioned that part?….You can’t force someone to be saved when they don’t want to.

Excellent! She didn’t STUDY the scriptures. Odds are, she heard a third hand narrative of the scriptures and now feels she is educated towards them. You nailed it, Noah warned them for years as to what was come if they didn’t repent. Instead they rejected his teachings. I’m surprised Cliffe didn’t pick up on that. Well done! 👏

Makes me wonder if the nations and tribes that the Israelites conquer once received some prophets to warn them but they rebelled.

Well she’s technically right. And let’s be honest. How can Noah travel the world and spread that he’s building a boat while he works on the boat at the same time…… What she’s saying Right and wrong is subjective. And God is also being subjective in the way he dealt with things. God tells us not to be jealous, yet jealous. Not to kill, but goes and kills…I think that was her point Rather the ppl believed Noah or not doesn’t matter because God destroyed the entire earth (including babies and children and cattle’s) to start over and still have the same things happen… Why reset the world by water, now fire. Why keep resetting the world just to have the same things happen???
@sandras.9312
@sandras.9312 Ай бұрын
@@Sweets-qg5be I’ll try my best to answer your questions assuming that they are genuine--Respectfully, you’ve brought some points that are nowhere in the Bible. There’s no passage that says Noah “traveled the world preaching about the boat while building the boat at the same time” per se, but it’s possible that both can be done in the same timeline before the initial flood. It’s also unclear whether (from what I know by my surface level understanding of scholars’ teachings as both are debated) whether the flood was really in Noah’s part or section of the world (as the “whole earth” could be an exaggeration to make a point), or literally every inch of the globe. Even then, it’s constantly shown throughout the Bible that before destruction hits, God gives people A LOT of time to change and repent before letting his judgment take place. He doesn’t warn them on day one and then pass his judgement on day two. Noah warned them for 100+ years and they hated him so much so, that in their rebellion they even tried to kill him. God also never just arbitrary allows his judgement to pass. The book of Genesis tells the exact reason why God had to judge the people - Genesis 6: 1-5. Secondly when the Bible says God is a “jealous God” it is not a comparison to how we humans are jealous of a person’s belongings or abilities. This “jealousy” or envy that we have to others is due to us wanting things that we don’t have, this is a selfish kind of desire. It is not wrong for God to demand worship that belongs to him in the first place, it is not wrong for the holy, pure, all knowing, powerful, creator - GOD to demand something that is rightfully due to him. His “jealousy” isn’t wanting something that doesn’t belong to him and it’s not a thing that leads us to our demise as he is protecting us from worshiping idols and false things that lead us towards the wrong path. Overall, it benefits us to turn to him in worship as he says in Jeremiah 29:11 - “”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”” Thirdly, God has the power to give life and take away life anytime he wants. He is the creator of it, he knows the mechanisms of it, he knows the ins and outs of life and death. God cannot “murder” as he alone has the ability to “give” life to whoever he wants. When it comes to US on the other hand, no one has the right to take life (besides self defense which is a whole other topic), and usually when you look at the intent for murder in most cases, it’s out of selfishness, greed, or the wicked intents of a person. We can’t “create” life or “give” life from scratch, we are not the source of life, God is. Throughout every human experience, our lives intertwine and many of us face the consequences of others that live closest to us, hence why the children would be affected by the actions of their parents too. A father that smokes around his child, is going to end up causing his child to fall sick with many illnesses. A son that joins gangs is inherently putting the lives of his family in danger. However, if God can take the lives of the children in the flood by letting his judgement pass, their final destinations is in paradise with him, not because they are at fault, but because of the decisions of their parents. Still a tough issue, but I’m doing my best to reason with you. Lastly, the story of Genesis explains specifically that the world was destroyed because of the wickedness of people and the nephilims which were the outcomes of fallen angels mating with humans. This act was an abomination and it was also destroying the bloodline of humans making it impure. This destruction of humanity’s bloodline would have prevented the following generations of people that needed to come that eventually lead to the coming of the Messiah which was supposed to destroy and overcome the bondage sin and damnation had on all of us. God however promised not to destroy the world by flood ever again, but because he is just and holy judge, he also can’t turn a blind eye to evil at the end of the day. His final judgement would be hell, which is separation from him.

Cliffe has an amazing ability to ignore little (inconsequential) falsehoods that people utter and stick to the subject they are supposed to be debating. @AndMakrid

Cliffe has an amazing ability to ignore every fact that doesn't fit his narrative and to attack everyone that will dare to challenge him. The first guy tells him: "Jesus said that the pure in heart will see God". Cliffe replies (angrily) in 3:21: "No, he didn't say that. He said 'Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God". The only difference between the two phrases is that the guy missed the "Blessed are". Cliffe made a fuss that the young man misquoted the Bible (which he didn't) instead of replying to an argument based on a legitimate Bible verse that challenged his notion about hell and salvation. Cliffe didn't spend time to explain what Jesus meant to say with the phrase that the young man rightfully quoted. He prefered to use rhetorics, just to silence him. If this is a way to show he is "a letter from Christ" (2 Corinthians 3:3) I have nothing to add.
@ycee21
@ycee21 Ай бұрын
@@AndMakrid well it was pretty big difference by just adding the words “blessed are” to the quote. The young man was quoting a good bit of scripture so he seemed well versed and had enough intellect to distinguish his mistake. You can’t misquote God’s scripture to make a point. But hey you found out Cliff is human like all of us 👍🏽. If he had to respond to everything like your critique suggests he wouldn’t be very effective in his delivery.
@AndMakrid
@AndMakrid Ай бұрын
@@ycee21 If you believe that the difference between the two phrases was "pretty big" why didn't YOU explain that difference in its essence? * "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" * "The pure in heart shall see God". What "pretty big" difference do the words "blessed are" make to the rest of the sentence? Do they negate the fact that the pure in heart shall see God? Or maybe they mean that the sighting of God is not a priviledge of the pure in heart? If the latter is true, how come that they are "blessed" then? No my friend. The young guy had enough intellect but not enough experience to face an older interlocutor who interrupted him angrily to avoid his own disproval. Mr Cliff has been lucky enough to have met with young people with limited knowledge of the Bible, or with limited experience of debates. And in this case, he only proved that he was afraid of the phrase "pure in heart": He was afraid of it, because he instictivly understood that he could claim the exclusivity of salvation, but he couldn't claim the exclusivity of the purity of heart, which is not a theoretical quality but an visible quality. And such a situation is always highly problematic...
@ycee21
@ycee21 Ай бұрын
@@AndMakrid the guys quote “the pure in heart” could mean simply anyone who leads a good life or is morally right by the worlds standards. Meaning they don’t have to put their faith in Jesus which would make it a salvation issue- hence the point they were talking about. However since the correct quote is “blessed are” it takes on a different meaning. Who is doing the blessing? The Lord. Who is the Lord specifically trying to reach in this passage? Well read the full passage Mathew 5:11 points to it talking about God’s children. No matter how good you are your going to sin and if your not repenting to the lord who laid down his life and trying to do right by His standards then you will not see the gates of Heaven. no matter how pure you are by the worlds standards, it doesn’t make you pure in God’s eyes. Great video Cliffe. I wouldn’t have agreed with the last girls point of God whipping the earth and the innocent children as “wrong”, because the innocent went to heaven. An analogy I’d use is if I came home and my house was an utter mess and I said “enough everybody is leaving except for Noah” and half the group was put on punishment and the other half went to chuckie cheese. Sure they’re gone, but the innocent were rewarded.

The real answer is love. Without God, there is no love. If you ask a human being if he has felt some kind of love in any form or manner at one point in his life, then that is the evidence that God exists. Because human comprehension will not be able to define love because it is the ultimate thing that God has only created and innate in Him. I would say that if someone asks me if God exists, then right on the spot I will tell that God exists because human experiences love.

To counter the young black woman's statement that God killed everyone, animals except Noah's family is false. First of all, the animals were allowed into the ark. Secondly, God sent Noah to tell the people what was about to happen and asked them to come into the ark so they won't die, but they refused. So they made the choice.

The hardened heart doesn't understand scriptures, for the Gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing. That's the Word of God. Tragically, unbelievers tend to talk themselves out of the gift of salvation. They fight to remain in condemnation and subsequently talk or argue themselves right into hell. They are self righteous and think they know what they don't know. I did the same thing with such ease until I had an encounter with Jesus Christ, which radically altered the whole trajectory of my life.

I was an atheist, i was an agnostic, I even lent towards Satan the final one Satan was the biggest mistake of mine. But I had one amazing experience that blew my doubts away. Too long to explain. Well, that may be so long as God does it (kill) himself. There's nothing I can do anyways. But what troubles me is when he commands us to do it for him. Is that also ok or moral or we humans suddenly have the right to kill others now? How do you know it's God commanding you to do so? Can we read his mind? His will? What happens when God commands your pastor or preacher to tell you to do his command to kill others? Would you do it? Would you obey him or disobey him? Joan of Arc believed she followed God's commands to fight against England, to save the French king etc. she did, but she was prosecuted and burned at the stake later. What gives?

John14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.” We can't get to heaven by works, because God doesn't pick favorites.

What I now know as a Christian with the Holy Spirit is that it’s NOT ME WHO LIVES it’s Christ within me he has my body and ownership over me, my flesh fights it and my spirit ultimately wins over my flesh, I have seen God work my heart to soften and take my hand and show me where to go to find him. Its not about your mind, God will show you if you simply ask even if you don’t yet believe:-)

If I interpret Scripture in a way that justifies, say, same-sex marriage, who has the authority to tell me I'm wrong? And I don't mean wrong in a subjective sense. What authority exists to tell me I am objectively wrong?

@@saintpaulofyoutube4416 Let me ask--do you think one of God's reasons for providing us with the Bible is to unite all His children in love and truth in imitation of the Trinity? Of course. I think we all believe that. The problem is that this is not what the Bible has done. Instead of uniting God's children in Truth, it has divided us because, as you said, "every person has the authority" to say whose interpretation is right and wrong. Do you think this is how God planned it? Or did Jesus give authority to the Church as it is written in Mt 16: 18-19, where it says "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Is this not Jesus founding a Church and giving it authority? Maybe. What do you think?

'Innocent people are being swept away' and that's fine as they're neither robbed something invaluably good, nor swept out of the hands of the allmighty!.. You might rather argue that God did them a great favor for now they're with him! Gods judgement is just. And he's power over heaven and hell!

We can never understand the reasons to the full extent of why things happen, only God knows, that is why we must put our trust in God. It is far beyond our abilities.
