Been a Hunter since D1, the cape got my attention at first, but Nightstalker vibed with me. In D2, dodging would have had me become a Hunter even without the cape. Arcstrider with Liar's Handshake has been my favorite loadout since Joker's Wild, before that it was knife-throwing Gunslinger builds because my aim is garbage under pressure. I still clear content solo with it I have no business being able to, thanks to the sustained-burst DPS a 1-2 shotty with Combo Blow x3 gives.

The main reason I started Destiny 1 as a Hunter was because I thought the classes would be weapon-type locked, and I saw screenshots of a Hunter wielding a big ass Sniper Rifle, so my mind instantly said "Giddy up!", but then I created a Warlock and never looked back. I loved the drip starting out. I've had the same look on my hunter for full seasons (if not a full year at this point) and it just looks GOOD. But really, the reason I main hunter is because of the rbythm you can get into when you're playing as a hunter. I main Arcstrider, have been since i got my first exotic (lucky raspberry, still use the thing on anything short of nightfalls) and the pure fast-paced flow you can get into is amazing. Don't get me wrong, my titan is my PvP main (in the rare occasions i do play pvp) and i keep a warlock up to light, but hunter is just were it's at man.

I've been a Hunter main since D1, what got me interested is of course the cloak, but then I felt comfortable with the gameplay even more now in D2, but what solidify me as Hunter main is the lore, Hunters are describe as wild cards, scouts, explorers, pathfinders and I completely fell in love with that especially now with the WQ camping felt like being a Hunter, investigating and going straight into the unknown and fight whatever lurks within.

Me being a Hunter main is actually quite unexpected for me since I usually gravitate towards supportive classes, but for me the way the classes were flavoured in D1 made it clear I was going to be a Hunter main. I tried around with all the classes and subclasses for a while but when I really fell in love was when I first got to play the mission to become a Nightstalker in D1 that cinematic just spoke to me in a way the others never could and Nightstalker was from the 1st minute everything I as myself would like to be in that universe. That just stuck throughout D1's lifecycle and so far into D2 it still just feels right for me to be a Hunter. A feeling I never really got with any of the other classes, with the small exception being Defender Titan which still could never hold me for long but it definitely spoke to my usual tendency to play a supportive role in most any rpg.

Because in every rpg I play, people I started with or get to play either are never on or they fall off entirely. So I picked a class that canonically fought alone or only in small groups of other hunters. I'm heavy on the rp in every rpg.

I'm a hunter main and I play almost exclusively hunter because I enjoy more engaging way of playing the game and titan and warlock have their class abilities anchor them to a fixed location to take advantage of their abilities while hunter dodge and jump feels more dynamic and let's you act more on whatever is happening in the second, while the other two classes have their toolkit feel like they need a bit more set up for whatever they do. That elasticity makes the gameplay feel more hot in the moment. I always look at the game's estetic before playing it, as it's a big part of enjoyment for me and a reason to invest in any franchise. When I first saw the d1 on demo with cosmodrome i thought: "Well titans look like a class for starters". So I went for them as a fan of knights and heavy armored warriors as a whole. But when I first went to play that "devils lair" strike. And saw a hunter just popping the golden gun and melting the spider tanks health bar I realised: "Yup, that is badass". I always liked the idea of a space cowboy, that doesnt neccessary look like cowboy. So bounty hunters from star wars were the closest thing at the time, but they still didn't appeal to me and didnt feel right. And then hunters came in with a literal space magic revolver that vaporizes enemies. So I deleted my titan. Created the hunter and never switched back. The versatility of the double jump instead of glide, the powerful ranged super charge, the cool cloak with a hood and a gas mask(back in d1 hunter's mainly wore gas masks kinda). All of that made me fall in love with the whole estetic. Then I bought the full game on my ps4. And it only got better from there. The blink ability that bladedancer had what drew me away from gunslinger(tho I came back to it eventually as landing shots with golden gun felt incredible each time). And then I saw it. The last word. While reading the article on that funny cowboy gun I learned about shin malphur and dredgen yor. Fell in love with hunters and the lore of the game even more. The next day was the grind and the prayer to the rng lord. I really hoped that my first exotic would be tlw, but it was hard light. Still a cool gun I said to myself. And continued on to grind exotic engrams and strange coins. The second exotic I ever got was hawkmoon. It felt great and I loved it. And kinda started forgetting about last word as I slowly started losing hope that ull ever get it. And then the third week of grind and my 3rd exotic ever. The glorious gun with a gold finish. The last word. It just felt natural to my mid range playstyle and even more natural in the hands of my hunter(not to offend any other classes. It's just that the golden gun is literally modeled after tlw). I played through taken king and kind of fell off the game when d2 came out(I'm not gonna start this we all know why so many people left so let's just leave it at that). Got back into destiny and tried d2 again few months ago and man... does it feel good as ever. The speed the guns everything is (arguably) better than it was in d1. Hunter is still a main and I doubt I'll switch any time soon though I do play other classes occasionally. Peace

I'd even change my shaders based on the map. I don't do it anymore because multiplayer was way more high octane and about speed and honestly hunters are the slowest class right now. Hunter will always be my number one but I see myself enjoying playing as a titan more often. Hunter also interested me back in those days because I liked the idea of being an explorer of the frontier. Not a titan sticking back and protecting or a warlock examining or researching. Exploring and being the hidden sniper was my appeal for being a hunter. (I was like,, 12)

I enjoyed in being a part of it. Being sneaky is also a bonus. 😆 hide to revive others is epic. My choice I guess makes sense when I main a rogue in DnD. Edit: Hoping Warlocks win this year so that each class has had a taste of victory. Then next year it's no holding back. XD

It feels good when you save your friends in a grandmaster raid when they are about to finish it. The only thing I hate is that for PVP you need to use a damn shotgun to stop those trucks called titans and those warlocks with their fast recovery.

For me, i chose the hunter because of what we were lorewise. The Lone wolf out in the wilds waiting patiently for the perfect shot. If its a good hunter, you wont even know they are there, and being i had no friends to play with, it seemed like a good fit. Plus Cayde kinda sold me on the class when i found out he was the mentor for the class. D2 wise i wish we didnt have to worry about all of our stats whereas titans and warlocks can just ignore mobility Ive stuck with it and only it all the way up to today awaiting the final shape, even though for a time Hunters were flat out discriminated against back in the D1 days, but its not meant to be for everyone i guess.

no disrespect to hunters but I could never main the class just off knowing how excellent and badass hunters really are and knowing that to be that good and badass, I have to maintain a godly level of skills, and I mean, no one gonna look at you and says "oh he's a titan no big or warlock it's okay" I can just see pure hatred being a lousy hunter so I just accept my fate and eat crayons as a titan or slip in the back as warlock but also the number of people saying fashion is exciting bc I would say warlocks IMO got the fashion, but perhaps minimalism is the name of the game and that isn't my thing

I play all the classes and I... am literally the worst Hunter. I be doing my crucible weeklies and while I can get it done in about 4-5 matches on Titan and Warlock, on Hunter it takes way too long, I don't even remember how many games it took. And this is using basically the same loadout. I'm not sure if it's the playstyle or abilities or Supers or what, I'm just terrible with the class lol. Doesn't help that I can't use hand cannons or indeed any single shot weapon, so that literally yeets out one of the subclasses (and I'm also a F2P so no mid tree solar). That said, I do think my Hunter looks the best.

I started out warlock I’d of mained it for life if there was more mobility like there is in d2 but I love the sneakiness and the jump titan is a very close second but warlock also has a special place in my heart as my first character

You need to interview someone in the out of bounds locations in the tower. That would be fun. I can show you the 3 out of bounds I know if you want. One is easy, one is medium, and one is hard.

i main hunter cuz the builds for pve are more appealing to me than warlock or titan and i feel like we complete a fireteam. i mean it never hurts to have an invis hunter on your team. overshields? cool. healing rifts? cool. however as great as they may be i usually find invis to come in clutch in a tight spot in endgame pve content, and plus we're becoming more viable with the revamped subclasses so that's a nice touch

Hunter is the hardest class. Just having our class recharge faster with mobility makes it harder. Titans and warlocks use resilience and recovery for their class item. Two super useful stats that for a hunter do nothing more than what they're intended to do

I'm a hunter main since D1, at first glance when choosing a character the hunter was the sleekest and was supposed to be the most agile and fastest. After using all characters that wasn't the case most times, but always felt the smoothest to use. In D2 what solidified me being a hunter main was when the faction rally's forced you to choose a faction and so hunters looked better overall... that and the grind became overly excessive afterwards that I couldn't play all three anymore, which then led me to sit down and evaluate which one I had the most fun with and felt more like me in the game. On a side note I'm very salty about stompees, I'm an ok pvp player and they helped stay competitive, not just because of jumping but of speed movement as well. RIP

I chose Hunter to do something different. Since Gauntlet Legends on the N64, I played Mages. It's been Hunter since Season of the Splicer.
