@DustyLeeSledge: Fancy that. I was just working on a project for bringing Greenlandic cuisine to Florida. Though, since seal meat is illegal in Florida, I had to invent a recipe for imitation seal, just to get around the red tape. Ground beef, bison, salmon, and lamb, mashed together with seaweed salad, beet juice, and some blue and purple food coloring dye yields a close approximation of kiviaq. From there, it can be grilled, or fried in a pan, a-la making standard kiviaq or suuasaat. Seaweed salad is available in the Japanese sections of local specialty food stores, usually the sushi bar. All the other ingredients to make kiviaq burger cuisine are readily available in Florida: brioche buns, thyme, paprika, poppy seeds, garlic and herb goat cheese, green tea, and blueberries. The looks I get from locals are looks of shock and disbelief. First, at the realization that anyone lives in Greenland, then at the thought that living up there means eating something, then at the thought that a dish from up there is reproducible down here, and they're blown away that I was able to develop a recipe for imitation seal so quickly just from reading a Google description of how seal meat tastes. And then when I successfully created a kiviaq burger from this recipe, they were even more in shock and disbelief. Unable to make Kalukisaat words to decorate the recipe with, I've substituted the decorations on the recipe page with its close cousin, Inukitut, which works with the Kiskasa font and is readily available via Bing Translate, in partnership with the government of Nunavut. I further tied it in with the mythos of my Anarteq superhero book series I'm developing (even though Isitoq is a total fiend for French toast, since he's Canadian Inuit, but... details. He'd be familiar with the dishes of his cousins in Greenland.) I even have this crazy idea that if Greenland had its own successful animation studio, and could make its own version of anime, then you could develop your own version of otakus as well, and your alphabet would start to become the niche thing random college students would be clamoring to learn. After all: why should Japan have all the fun?

It isn't "acknowledging" anything. It's an AI drawing from every major standard of beauty available in a data base, then applying those features to a handful of genetic traits common in various countries. If it were "acknowledging" standards of beauty, that would imply we all find the same things attractive, and I assure you, I don't find them all attractive. Plus, it's only referencing certain common traits, it would be impossible to include them all considering how varied many of the people in these countries are. The easiest example of this is the one for the United States of America. American's aren't known for red hair or wide female jawlines, yet that is the picture used by the AI, and by your logic, that would "acknowledge" that America's standard of beauty is based on those features. It isn't. TLDR: The AI isn't acknowledging standards of beauty by country, it's drawing from the generally accepted ideas of beauty used in data and applying some common, and some random, characteristics of countries to it.

​@@Warrior_Culture this is true & very well said, but I'd argue that, that is precisely how beauty standards r cultivated: by societal discrimination. ofc a majority of ppl won't fill said standards, but they exist nonetheless, & if the computer is replicating what it knows to be true based off what the media & societal standards represent, it would indeed be fairly accurate to assume that those from said countries would find the AI women of their counties attractive.. biased (as societies r) or not.

As a Polish I don't think polish women with red hair. Red hair is so rare in slavic countries. Red hair is common only western and north Europe. Btw German girl, and Belgium girl don't look like natives. They should've been blonde with blue eyes. Since blonde hair is more common in western Europe than eastern Europe. In Germany 66% Germans are blonde meanwhile in Ukraine 45%. If immigrants would leave Germany it would be more than 80%.

I knew they would do Ukraine as a blond with blue eyes, meanwhile the most typical Ukrainian woman would have light brown (or dark blond) hair and hazel eyes. Also the representation of Spain looked more like Ireland. I would say wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes would be a lot more representative.

As a Finnish woman I would say the AI's Finnish woman was all too soft featured.. We usually have much bigger noses and "sharper" facial features. And her eye colour looked like it was green. Most Finns have blue, blue/gray or then just brown eyes. Green is the most uncommon eye colour here..

I know right. Portuguese woman have more brown or black hair, but many portuguese are blond too by nature. Others have their hair dyed blonde. Many portuguese have brown eyes, or even blue or green eyes. Their skintone are mostly tanned, because of the sun and bcs they go to the beach. But other portuguese people female and male have actually white skintone, if they don't go to the beach and they avoid the sun. I know bcs I live in Portugal, I'm half Portuguese.

The USA would be a conundrum .. Just take Texas for example .. We have traced my mom's history back to 1836 (founding of Texas) .. By the present, you would be working with mixed European (mostly German, Dutch, Polish) with Mexican, and one to two native tribes (Apache, Comanche) ..
