Depends on what you mean. R+R era (pre-warped 2011) in terms of live shows? Yes easily the best. As a band tho, musically? Nah not at all. During this time, they started blowing total chunks live. They were never the same again from warped 2011 - onward, and anyone who saw them before then can confirm this. Danny entirely shredded his vocal cords and would never sound the same again. They also began writing their worst album ever during the end of that era. So for that reason, in terms of overall best AA in general, I'ma have to go with 2017 s/t era, hands down. Danny was at his most vulnerable lyrically, there was so much hype for his return to the band, it's their best record, etc etc etc. And their live show on 2018, while not being 2011 anymore, was definitely a MASSIVELY significant improvement over 2012 or 2013 live.

Definitely this is the best moment of Danny's career. Looking back to the old albums you can perceive an immense improvement of his voice. I understand that a lot of people likes the old stuff, however I think there's no reason to complain about. I mean, remember when M.Shadows stopped screaming like in the old days? We had a real fuzz and now they've changed and improved as hell. I used to hate this band, but now the things are different and better.
