Native means you’re born in that state. Not if you move there and live there a long time. If you are born in California then move to Tennessee. You would be a California native and a resident of Tennessee. If your are from California and watching this. You should have moved here 10 years ago. In 2014 houses for 400k are now 800k-1 million. Think of it as moving to California in the 70’-80’s . Old barns are being torn down, roads are widening. Orange groves and strawberry fields are built up with houses. Traffic is only at rush hour. Then the 90’s hit and going into the 2000’s, houses that sold for 30k in the 70’s are 1-3 million. Traffic is no longer just the freeway at rush hour. It’s on every street at all times of the day. We are not there yet. I’d place us here in Nashville/Franklin comparable to mid-late 90’s equivalent to California. It’s headed that way. As a country we are experiencing a great migration. Families are leaving big cities for a better life for there family. It’s not just Middle Tennessee. It’s also many other areas across the country. Chances are where you were born your parents moved there for a better life. That’s what’s happening. You just have to roll with it. You can’t stop change. This is still a great place to raise a family. Then in the future people will move from here to somewhere else. I think Alabama will eventually grow as well. It’s just how it is. Enjoy every day. Be good to each other. We all generally want the same thing. To be happy and enjoy life. To love and be loved.

@@MikeFromNashville thank you Mike. Obviously I know what “a native Nashvillian” would actually mean. I am one. However, we have so many newcomers, anyone who’s been here 20 years is practically a native, especially because they knew it at what many of us consider our best years. But I certainly stand corrected
