In as much as I am a proud Nigerian. Nigeria is difficult. The laws doesn't work for the rich in Nigeria. Police brutalities , if you don't know anyone, you can't get a job. Insecurities everywhere. Though Nigeria is indeed a fun country. But if I had the opportunity to leave Nigeria, I would never return, I love our culture and traditions but it is hell if you're not rich or financially stable. If you're rich, Nigeria is the best place to be.

Never forget your home. Build at least a one bedroom in your own land back home, so you can return in your old age, if you live to your 70s, 80s or 90s. Look at the number of homeless people abroad, who are old. Don't forget your family back home. All these people talking are young but work very hard now and buy land in your hometown and build a place for yourself, and if possible a place to rent out so you can get income in future. You will never own anything in these oyibo lands. You will always pay very high taxes, even when you are not working or retired, and the house will go into foreclosure. Think my African brothers and sisters. I know things are bad back home, but don't get old and try to live here. A nursing home is like a prison. We are not used to that kind of restricted lifestyle.

@@mercurius6352 You can define home to fit what you want to suit or satisfy your beliefs, but 99% of foreigners in the US, Europe, Canada and other countries around the World, know, that country is not thier home. I don't care if you become a naturalized citizen of any of these countries; they are a lot of places where you will not be welcomed in these countries, especially in the country side. If you go to all of these countries, majority of the foreigners live in the cities because it is safer for them. I don't know how old you are or from what African country you come from, but I know you have a village or home town where your family and you call home. You can deceive yourself or try to force yourself to be a citizen of an oyibo country but you know you will not be accepted in a whole lot of activities and jobs and that will follow down to your descendants in oyibo land. Look at that dark Indian British born man who was running for Prime Minister to replace Boris Johnson. He had all the experience and qualifications to be Prime Minister but you know why he was highly rejected. The real home for us Africans, is Africa. The Chinese and other Asians, know where thier home is. Because of thier high populations, they have to go out to hustle. And you be surprised Canada is very multicultural and diverse, my sis sent me a video on a African supermarket located in Canada, there you'd find african food stuffs in that market and also there is an entire church dedicated to Africans which she usually attend, Canadians also go there but it's a church dedicated to Africans. The Ghanaian girl is very cleaver, she understands the consequences of painting her country bad to foreigners so will always speak good about her country even though in her heart, she she may never go back to Ghana, she will not say such on video because she knows Canadian immigration might also just be watching this video. She also make sure her country is respected by saying she is going back to help build it, in turn she gets respect. The Nigerians on the other hand paint their country so bad, which then creates a horrible picture in most foreigners mind and support the western stereotype of the pitiful, helpless Africans, poor, dirty, starving, war-torn, uncivilised people, running away from corrupt politicians for the west to save them. This is why Africa is not respected because of what her children say about her.

And by then the cowards will run back to Nigeria. They don't want to be part of the building. White people will be laughing at them and they expect respect in Canada 🙄 People don't talk like this social platforms in the West.

As a kenyan living in the UK for the past 7 yrs ,i came into conclusion that theres something not right about nigerians living abroad, among all africans ive met here in England, its only nigerians that never loves their country compared to other africans, ive met south africans ,cameroonians ghanians ugandans malawians liberians and Gambians all of them are proud of their respective countries and they tend to go back whenever they get the opportunity, i inclusive i do go back to kenya like every december coz i just cant stand being in the UK the entire year without going back home for a couple of weeks ...when it comes to nigerians ive met over here theres something always off, they hate their country sooo much to an extent one told me nigeria is a country in ICU ,some even told me they can set foot in africa but not nigeria..so nigerians tell me wats soo bad about your country that you tend to run away from it, even in my home country kenya there are estates designated for nigerians..Besides i prefer being in UK than in north america coz of the distance i cant imagine being in US or canada coz of the flight hours ,they're sooo far away from my country i love it in the UK coz its closer to home and i dont need connecting flights in most cases when going to kenya.

It’s not the country we hate, it’s the government trust me, Nigeria is soooo lit!!! But the government, here in Nigeria, at least me personally I’m looking forward to the elections next year, if we vote a new leader with a different background I think gradually things will start to work again, once again it’s the system we hate not the country
@titantriton11752 жыл бұрын
@@Cook_Eat_Banter even my country has faults, but ill never badmouth my country the way most nigerians do with naija...i just dont get..why are nigerians soo negative with nigeria.

@@titantriton1175 I just told you why, you won’t understand, because you aren’t Nigerian, and I don’t expect you to because to you it’s overreacting, to us government has made corruption a lifestyle. Did you hear about the #EndSars protest? We’ve tried and are trying to really make Nigeria better but the government! They’re manipulative, I don’t know a lot about Kenya but I doubt you’re as bad as Nigeria in corruption and insecurities

Very true, I am a Nigerian and we hate our own and our place. We curse our home with our mouths and expect it to be better. We are hypocrites and proud for nothing. Noise makers. We cant even see light in our own. its sad. we taste small honey and think its all that. poverty mentality people. yes I will say the hard truth as a Nigerian who also lived in the diaspora for years. We are the cause of our own problem. it breaks my heart cos i want us to light up and be positive. Godbless you so much.
@Cook_Eat_Banter2 жыл бұрын
@@blessingdebah2209 I’m quite sure I’m younger than you, probably haven’t lived as much as you have. But even I know the way hatred works, I’ll say this again as a Nigerian who lives in Nigeria and not the diaspora, we hate the system, we hate that corruption has replaced our core values, it’s hard to be positive when power hasn’t changed hand since the amalgamation, young people aren’t given the opportunity to shine, take end sars for example, now this election is different because every young person has become aware that we need radical movements for the country to work , when people say I hate this country, it’s not the country itself it’s the selfish leaders Ma.
