@@nostro1940 😂… My reason is simple, imagine the UK going to war like what you see in Ukraine. A lot of Nigerians and other foreigners thinking that place will be their home were stranded. I don’t mean to have this negative reasoning, but I’ve seen it happen to family friends member of mine. But God turned situations to our favour. To cut the long story short, my younger was in Ukraine and some family friends who were settled there as medical professional. In the mist of all that has happened, many had to switch to another country. And you know how difficult it is to move with family from one country to another. Just do a flashback to when you came into the UK.☺️ Yes! The UK has a lot of orderliness than our country. But there is nothing wrong having dual citizenship 😁

I have been in the UK since 1983. My opinion about going back to Nigeria is based on your financial break through. If you finally made it and is comfortable you will naturally have the urge to go back home. I am now back in Nigeria running a boutique. I have 4 properties to my name in the UK. I am now travelling back and forth because I am now in a stage where I could afford it. Most people are in my shoes but unfortunately most has fallen by the road side. I have loads of Nigerian students in my property and I am their mentor on how to make it in a honest way. Once you made it going home is easy

I think there are alot of Nigerians in the UK who have "made it" that would not go back to Nigeria even if they were paid billions of naira. Why? Because no matter the amount of money you have, there is no healthcare, no security, no electricity etc.... some people are not ready to sacrifice these things and relocate to Nigeria. Truth be told as long as you don't have any health issues or comorbidities, it's okay to move to Nigeria for a while

Great video. Spent a almost a year in the UK before going back to Nigeria. UK is lovely, organised and the system works. I love to visit, but I can't stay there. The food, cold weather and different cultures, etc., unsettle me. We have challenges of insecurity, lack of basic facilities, corruption, but we'll fix them and make Nigeria work. I understand there’s insecurity in Nigeria but we should also be fair to talk about knife violence in the UK. I knew of a Nigerian couple that lost 3 sons to knife violence in the UK over a space of 20 years. There are Nigerians that have also met violent deaths in the UK, US and most recently the Igbo guy beaten to death in Italy. Yes, Nigeria has security challenges but lack of job opportunities for the youth is the main issue driving people away from home. Man must eat and take care of himself and family! Despite the insecurity problems in Nigeria, people still live in the Boko Haram capital- Maiduguri; I mean in their millions! I thought it was a desolate place until I see the documentary in which people were shown living

I was born in the UK, went to Nigeria for my studies, came back to the UK for my career development. I am retired, and tired of living in Europe, I would love to live in Naija, that's my first choice. We just hope for security and good, and transparent governance. Thank God for your country but Nigeria is nothing to write about, we have bad corrupted government, evil government that doesn't care about their people. They only care for their long throat and their family. Very wicked people that has sold their soul to devil. They didn't care whether you are dead or alive, they are brutal than animals. In Nigeria, things are getting worse every day and at the same time our dictator government are getting richer carry the money that belong to Nigerian, for us to make a better living. No single fear of God in them. While some Nigeria cannot eat two times daily, people are eating whatever they see is not what they want that is the reasons why some people decide to japa and not coming back to Nigeria useless country.

Am surprised no one talked about the Job issues in Nigeria. Sadly insecurity isn't the only flaw Nigeria has, I myself have experienced this as I studied Law for 5 years with an extra year in Law school and have nothing to show for it and was literally Jobless for God knows how long without a Job offer, even if you have a first class thinking you are guaranteed to get a job, it is totally irrelevant as long as you are in Nigeria. Even when I managed to find a Job, my employer was like am gonna clean his office, serve as his secretary follow him to court, help him file reports, serve as his agent in meetings and lots other things. In short I was completely his errand boy and all this he was going to pay me 10k/month and I was like ohh my God, he didn't even care if I have a family or kids to cater for when the money I spent for my law wig and gown was more than the 10k he was calling not to mention call to bar. Well I don't wanna make it sound like living in the UK dosen't have it own flaws, living in the UK does have it flaws like for instance it can become very expensive to live in particularly London but this can be avoided if you plan your budget properly and times you wanna work. My friend relocated to Canada as student and he landed his first Job in his second week in Canada as a student, same Job it took me a year+ to get in Nigeria and his Job pays $20/hr and he worked 2 Jobs, each of which were paying $20/hr. Converting that to NGN, y'all know how much it can be, not to mention he's able to fend for his family back home. If the opportunity arises, I'd love to go back abroad and stay permanently and hopefully bring my family with me to Enjoy the comfort rather than leaving them behind and going to visit. Home dosen't Necessarily mean the country you were born in, that's not how you define home. I'd define home as anyplace that accepts me based on my Character along with having the best quality of life that I seek.

There are always electricity failure everyday and the funny thing is that there is always petro deficit at filling station as a Petro-producing country, most of stations are shut down. however my favorite is the price for petro, USD0.25 per litter so you can drive any car without being worry about high consumption!!!

This is interesting & honest conversation. What I can say is any pikin that JAPA from 9ja most have an exit plan from Obodo Oyibo after years of working. If you don’t, you will have to keep working past the age of 70. If you have investments meaning your money working for you in the Abroad, then it’s smooth celling to relocate to 9ja or any West African countries. But Why? Because your foreign currency will go a long way in any developing country. You will live like a King/Queen. No bi so!! I have my small plan.

So about what the second man said, I had a baby in UK here, one day I noticed some serious issues with her that required immediate medical attention I tot, I called the emergency around 9pm in the night coz the hospital around me was closed, and guess when the ambulance came around 3 am in the morning, so if there was really really something serious with my baby as I tot maybe I would have lost her but thank God, they just came and knocked on my door while we were already sleeping and I told them my baby was better, so I still see it that it is God that saves no matter where you are even though everything is organized, honestly I was disappointed that day

I came to the U.K. in 1997 with a plan. Learn about global business so I can go and setup and create employment opportunities in Nigeria. Now I have worked for some of the largest multinationals in the world. Coca-Cola, Pepsi cola. Pharma, Retail. I also setup a Charity in the U.K. 10 years ago. I’m starting my first project helping in Africa - Nigeria this year. And looking to start the first business in Nigeria next year. Nigerians need to really fight against that insecurity because it’s talking $billions off our GDP every year. A lot of people in the west want v to come and spend their money in Nigeria because of the influence of music, culture and lifestyle. But the insecurity is pushing them to Ghana. Ghana is getting all the Nigerian money and opportunities. Wake up people, wake up. Anyway hoping to start getting v serious about v Nigeria next year.

If you have your complete immigration papers, have a good job, work hard, save up enough money and plan your life well, you will like to return to Nigeria after retirement. However if you fail to succeed in UK and have no investment in Nigeria, you wouldn’t want to return home In conclusion, if you have the means, Nigeria is the best place to live. There is nowhere like home. You will also be treated like a foreigner in another person’s country

My answer is definitely no. For instance, one of my uncle got murder on his way to his house in Nigeria . Prior to that incident, he lived in US for 35 years but he went to Nigeria to retire. On top of that ,Nigeria is not safe at all. So, l would rather retire in Ghana, or South Africa .

My advice for those Nigerians especially for the ones who have been living out of Nigeria Out of Africa for over 10 years 20 years I'm sick they will not move back to Nigeria my advice for them is take a look at the Chinese people the Indian people China is far more developed than Nigeria Japan is far more developed than Nigeria European countries are also far more developed and yet we have those people in Nigeria living in Nigeria enjoying life in Nigeria ask yourself why what did they see in Nigeria that we are not seeing. Many European countries businesses are shutting down rent is going up and not coming down any year from now those white European citizen are going to protest so that their government can kick Africans out of Europe to fight for their European citizens first anytime from now especially with the economic crisis facing Europe now so my advice for those Nigerians that are saying they will not go back to Nigeria it will be like the Nigerian woman that Ukrainian refuse to take to a safe Zone from Train . Some of us call it racism I do not call it racism I call it in a difficult situation you have to help your people first .imagine your son and your neighbor son are in a swimming pool drowning who are you going to save first?
