Very informative! A major concern for 20s couple who going to plan their next step. “First home is not the only home” mindset need to be more widely spread these days.

Is that a lot in Malaysia? I work overseas with net income of 33k Rm per month
@lovissliew96482 жыл бұрын
That is possible ah. 8k salary for managing level. Household income 16k with living together could cut down the household expenses to 6k and saving 10k a month. As that, it will only take 10months for 100k saving.

I hope u make a video about choosing a first home for single people approaching 40 years of age without prospect of getting married. I know it is sad, but harsh reality to many people that needed a place to stay.

I would think Bkt Jalil/OUG/Happy Garden would be great for this couple as it is located in between KL & PJ, easy access to so many roads and highways. All amenities are there - wet market, supermarket, malls, schools, restaurants, cafes, public park, public pool etc. As they will be settling down soon, when they have baby, kids, a condo with security and facilities would be great. can spend time in the playground, swimming pool without any worries.

Good advice. Then again being a father, the question of will i move after my kids starts going to school will turn up at some point in life. Cause lets say they now just finish std 3, got used to their current school, friends, tuitions, life style. Then even if i were to change work place and ended up have to travel further, i would not want to move my kids. As this will greatly affects their studies and they would have to start over in new environment. It will be stressful for them. Therefore i still disagree that the dream home is 50yo. It may come earlier. For me, it will be 6 years after you have your first kids. Then that time is where you stay put. Upgrade to bigger home maybe, but it will still be around the same area. Then that time if can afford, i do not see why it can't be a dream home.

Growing up with rich friends during my high school, they seem fine with moving and me as a peer I also “jealous” of them that time too that can able to live in a new houses😂(I was young back then don’t blame me haha) What am I saying is sometimes things work just fine for the kids, it’s those time that hep them to become stronger, part of the growth process. Therefore maybe after primary school could be a time to move.

For me bangsar south is one of the most convenient area also one of the reason i bought my apartment in bangsar south, I not quite sure why people think high density is an issue, maybe is because if the lif will be very slow during peak hour but not happen in new building since there are 5 lif for high floor and 5 for low floor.

I've been to PJ and Cheras, now bangsar south, best decision ever. bangsar south only for a certain time got heavy traffic compared to pj & cheras jammed all the time. I've been living all my life within klang valley, all i can say is bangsar south is king imo. everything nearby already.

Difference from staying in landed to condo is also the strata titles laws. Lots of things can’t be easily implemented overnight. Need to be voted in AGM. But overall, you’ll get that community living, hopefully with friendly neighbours.🤞 Good luck!

Hi iherng, I at the age of 29, looking to buy my first property for own stay. I’m having around RM500k cash in savings (crypto) but I don’t wish to spend all of them in the property but I am not sure what budget range should I be looking at. I’m thinking about getting a 800-900k landed in OUG area or a condo 5-600k in Taman Desa. Both locations are great, but I’m not sure about the future appreciation if around these area, would thinking of a combo as well like what happen to this couple.
