This was my husbands Jeep for a few years. He put the pin strips on it. He sold it to our friend Bo, who has since passed away. This bought back such wonderful memories of Bo and the time we owned it. Thanks for you for bringing it all back to us.

I think it should have been wet sanded buffed and polished and then it would be very good with no Orange peel. I also would’ve taken off all the trim pieces on the doors and painted them separately. However still a good job and great practice.
@avguylyfe58372 жыл бұрын
Dude it's a free paint job. And I'm pretty sure they didn't wanna keep the owners car for any longer then needed. With that being said I get what your saying. But they still took the time out and did an amazing job. Prep was on point considering
@lee_faulkner2 жыл бұрын
I completely agree. I know it’s free but Lacquer would have went along way and the trims sprayed black again. And a good compound and polish. Then again it is free but still
@avguylyfe58372 жыл бұрын
@@lee_faulkner Exactly. Material cost a lot. And then you factor in labor. And he's a growing channel so I'm sure that plays a role as well. So it's hard to get a showroom quality for free. With that being said it's definitely better then some paid jobs. Hopefully it's clear on there and it should wistand the test of time. But praise for him to even do this.

It could've taken a day more or two, but wet sanding and buffing would have made it much better. I paint cars in less than ideal conditions, but the extra time and effort to make the imperfections go away speaks volumes and people just break the phone and throw money at me...... attention to detail can take you places and open doors. Wetting the driveway with a hose helps with the painting , as little to no dust is picked up and is much easier with the buffing.

I get it's a free paint job which is really dope of you guys. However, it might not go so well as this isn't a professional paint job so there will be defects and a lot of orange peel. They might be bummed out that their car once was only a compound/polish away from clear reflective paint but now needs a lot of wet sanding to get it to where it once was. Just to be clear, I obviously know this Jeep was FAR from just a compound/polish to bring it's shine back, but I noticed them going to houses with cars that still had their clear coat intact. Not hating! What you guys do is awesome, I was just pointing out. At the end of the day, the paint job looked 10x better than what it looked like.
