Most of the people the Jimmy Kimmel show tends to interview on Hollywood Blvd. or in Santa Monica are usually tourists from around the U.S. and world. Its a little rare to find an LA native on Hollywood Blvd. You are more likely to see LA natives in downtown LA however along with some transplants from other cities/states (which it seems that's where Stefan interviewed people). Downtown LA has greatly gentrified and built a lot of public rail transportation in the last 20 years attracting a lot of natives and transplants. I live in the LA suburbs and tend to know a little bit more about Sweden than most Americans because I worked for IKEA and they gave us a crash course in Swedish culture from vocabulary, to traditions, to trying Swedish foods and fika. Although not my first choice, I do enjoy the various ways Swedes marinate, smoke, preserve their herring. Also all Swedish pop culture references--H&M, Nobel prize, ABBA, Ingrid Bergman, Skarsgårds, Zara Larsson, Avicii, Pewdiepie, etc. familiar with all but only follow some :)

Me too. I worked for IKEA for a time in LA as did my sisters. Its pretty well known among younger people and LA metro has more stores than most U.S. cities and there's been plenty of tv adverts in the recent past. To be fair though there is a lot of competing retail in LA and the conurbation has 18 million people, so it figures not everyone might be familiar with it. Plus the city is made up of a lot of transplants from around the U.S., many from smaller towns and cities where there is no IKEA present yet.

The reason that Sweden is so rich and has such a low population is because: In the early 20th century Sweden got hit by a ecomomic crisis. This caused a hughe chunck of the population to move to other countries (mainly america). When the country got back on its feet again there a lot less people and a lot more mone to give to these people. Plus: Sweden has a lot of forested areas witch mainly seved as a way to build hoses and furniture. But since a hughe chunk of the population was gone there was a hughe chunk of trees that was mainly useless and took up space. So they they sold the trees to other countries witch they made tons of money for. So Sweden quickly became one of the richest contries in the world!
