Nice video. By the way, lots of Japanese think that "oshare" ("fashionable") foreigners will come, but in actuality, the Japanese tend to be more "oshare" than anyone else. Expect T-shirts and shorts or jeans (for both men and women). It doesn't really get all that much more interesting than that.
@tadashihatsudai6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, and I've noticed that Japan has more people wearing business casual level clothes. Even streetwear looks put together and I've rarely seen people wear tank tops as an actual top. As for other clothes such as off-shoulder tops and crop tops, those tend to be balanced out with long maxi skirts or full-length jeans. Outside of Japan, I see more leggings and t-shirts, or the "I literally just got out of bed" look.
@dannyl58976 жыл бұрын
Almost every working person has a tailored suit. Partially thanks to the affordability of tailored suits. Every student is in uniform (kids generally don't usually wear fashionable clothing, they sure think so though). Employees are given fashionable uniforms. And their casual clothes rarely consist of just a t-shirt and jeans. Doesn't matter who they are, their casual wear is some fashionable shirt for guys, girls wear nice shirts, dresses and skirts. Japan as a whole has the most fashionable society in the world. It also helps that they don't have a bunch of fat people walking around.

It's interesting that they think cutting in line, stealing and so are normal outside of Japan. Those things are a no in all the countries I've been to, with the difference that we would speak up if we saw something like that happen. I've never seen anybody cut in line in Spain or any other place, just in movies 😅, and in some places you get a number so you don't need to wait in line. Stealing I think is obvious that you shouldn't do that, and I'm sure there is Japanese people like that, maybe not as much as in other places, but bad people are everywhere. Language barrier is seen everywhere, a lot of people travel without having learnt any English at all, so the probability of having people speak your language in other countries is low. Of they've managed that way I don't think language barrier will be a problem for them 😄. I would say, enjoy the Olympics and seize the opportunity to meet other people 😊

Víctor Andrés Piña González stealing is not part of our culture, you can't put all the people in a box, we are not all the same. Because if we put for example Spain in a box we would say all Spanish are rude, but that's not true, just because some of them are it doesn't mean you have to apply that to every single Spanish person.
@nosotrosloslobosestamosreg41156 жыл бұрын
I said what I said it because I DO live in Latin America, and they love to steal, smuggle and avoid work more than they love to get drunk, and yes, all manly Spaniard tend to rudeness, special snowflake. About the ruling classes, even they're White, they hold the same 3rd World tier culture, that's the root of all its sufferings. Latin Americans < Japanese People.
@AnaliaVeronicaMendez6 жыл бұрын
Víctor Andrés Piña González I really don't know and don't care about where you live, but from all the Latin Americans I've met more than 90 % wouldn't steal a penny. This doesn't mean I think Japan is a great country, and Latin America is going throw one of the worst times in history, but we are talking about individual people, you can't say that because you've seen a white person do something it means all white people are going to do the same, because for aspect and place of birth we could put so many people in the same status, getting it all wrong.

The Gunner I've just started taking Japanese language lessons as well. My classes start with romaji mixed with hiragana so I'm guessing that's where you start from. Katakana is in the next level. Does your sensei use bahasa to explain the words and grammar to you? I find it harder to understand the lessons when the sensei isn't proficient in the student 's mother tongue (or a 2nd language the student is rather proficient in). It must be doubly hard for you to be learning one extra language at the same time.

The Gunner I've tried learning Japanese from KZbin but it doesn't really work for me. This is for someone who speaks English on a daily basis. It will not be boring and my classes are just 90 minutes but it feels like 30 minutes because there is interaction (berbahasa dikalang pelajar lain dan guru). You could also ask the sensei if you don't understand the part and get corrections if you made mistakes.

Some of them want foreigners to learn their language and culture (for the few weeks that they are staying in the country), yet they can generally only speak Japanese and their views on foreigners are often based on nothing more dumb and ridiculous stereotypes. By the way, the Olympics is just a big party so they can loosen up a bit perhaps ;)

Look, I know English is difficult, and I fully support Japan thinking about Japanese first. But the majority of foreign countries (besides the Americas) the EU, African, and even the Southeast Asian countries, use English as a border language. The only reason most Japanese stop learning English after high school, is because they have no reason to use it, til the world starts knocking on their door. So someone explain to me, why is it that Japan is exempted from this? What makes Japan so special that the rules must be changed? I'm being realistic here, during the 2020 Olympics you're gonna find tons of foreigners from all over the world, doing they're own thing, and it will cause trouble for Japan in one way or another, it's been like this for decades every time the Olympics happens in any country, there's always an incident where a foreigner(s) will do something wrong, unintentionally, or not. Being loud, making trash, arguments, fights, it's gonna happen regaurdless. The best Japan can do, is prepare itself, have the people have the mentality that not everyone is such a good mannered/willed person as they are. And the best way Japan can do this, is communication with the Universal border language used on this planet.
@tetsuyalederhouse75076 жыл бұрын

Mecks089 japanophiles huh? They are called weaboos lol. Those are the people who are so obsessed with Japan and everything in it! This is common in anime/cosplay fans

I don't think the people who can afford tickets to Japan and all the sporting events will be as bad as the other people in the comments make 'em out to be, especially since the local businesses and international airlines will raise prices to take advantage of the situation. I think one of the biggest obstacles Japan will have to face is their lack of trashcans and foreigners' reliance on the abundance of public trash cans in their home countries, so expect a lot of littering.

I want to go in 2020 but I have to save money I even had a nightmare today about this 😭💔
Japanese people are usually tolerant toward different cultures and religions, but they don't like people who do not follow Japanese manners/rules and disturb the peace and order.

Porque los japoneses no son normales o serios a la hora de responder? Siempre veo que se rien de la nada, incluso hasta para hablar de algo trágico son capaz de reírse o.0

Japan or at least Tokyo should educate people about how fucked up the rest of the world is for straying away from traditionalism. It won't be a culture shock to the westerners, it will be a culture shock for the native Japanese.

I am always surprised how often japanese people mention that they have four seasons. Almost as if they are one of the very view countries who has winter,spring,summer and autumm and you can´t experience snow, falling leaves and blooming flowers in other countries too XD the girl at 2:08 (without the hat) was really cute :)
