Omg! My pigeon Broly does this all the time ! I never heard my Clancy girl make that noise so I thought he was just funny !! Haha. Thanks for the video I would not have known it was a normal thing! It cracks me up cause he just sticks his neck out and goes “VRUM” everytime he heard a weird noise or something

Something just happened with my baby Ernesto (Chiqui) mom and I were talking just before bed, and Chiqui started making the danger sound, he was flying to my moms head and back to mine, he did this a few times making the sound louder than usual. I held him close to me and asked him where baby where? He kept looking back and forth to me and mom making the sound 😟 we were not being loud, not laughing, not arguing. Just talking like any other time. We both got nervous… what could that have been? 😳

I feed pigeons @my apartment bldg. I have a flock of appx 10-15 little guys. Been watching a female juvenile that was introduced to the flock few weeks ago by her parents. Some males have been dancing for her, but she pecks at them. Is she too young to mate? Or is she rejecting them?

My pigeon is bonded to me and I love her so much, but in our home I also have my sister and nephew who would love to be closer to her. She wants nothing to do with any body but me. Is there any way to get her to be a little more friendly with them? Beth

They can talk to the bird more usually they love that, or have them give their favorite treat/food. Also they view bathing together as bonding so when they get their bath you can have them there

I don’t know if this helps, but I can tell by their body shape and body language, the male’s neck is a bit wider, almost straight from head to shoulder (wide, kinda like Leo Messi’s neck 😅) and they walk tougher, almost like a military march (not always, but never seen females do that) vs the female, the neck is slimmer, more delicate and feminine, the neck much more defined. They walk with shorter steps, (if they had Hands they would probably walk with the pinky finger up as if everything around was dirty 😹) this has always worked for me, I’ve not yet confused a male with a female pigeon. It’s just difficult to tell when they are not yet adults, as they still have the delicate body and behavior of a child. But once they become adults: it’s visible.

Hi there, how would I get a pair of pet pigeons to trust me? I’m a new pigeon owner and I’m currently have issues with my pair as while one doesn’t mind me being close or touching it, the female partner is much more terrified of me and goes into more frantic calls.
