I rescued a baby pigeon, maybe 4 weeks old. Starting to fly, not gaining altitude yet. She’s interested in a local pigeon flock, I didn’t have to hand feed her since she went to solids. I wonder what’s next on our journey.

We can't understand what you're saying; the recording is very bad. Why didn't you play autogenerated subtitles, so at least we could read.

My pidgey and I still have a budding relationship and she’s not generally keen on approaching my hands. I can hand feed her but I’m worried about damaging our relationship by handling her when she’s not comfortable with it, any suggestions?

Something just happened with my baby Ernesto (Chiqui) mom and I were talking just before bed, and Chiqui started making the danger sound, he was flying to my moms head and back to mine, he did this a few times making the sound louder than usual. I held him close to me and asked him where baby where? He kept looking back and forth to me and mom making the sound 😟 we were not being loud, not laughing, not arguing. Just talking like any other time. We both got nervous… what could that have been? 😳

@summersmooth 0 seconds ago I use to be homeless up untill january this year. I use to sit out side home bargains begging everyday. everyday fgor 12 moth a brown pigeon would come sit with me everyday and share food i got of customers. She once came with an broken egg stuck to her bottom, so i caught her and removed the shell. I am now in recovery and live in a lovely home. but that little pigeon got me through the covid lockdown and she was so inelligent, Just after 2 weeks i saw her in the main city of Wakefield, I saw a pigeon the same color as my pal, so i shouted and to my amazment, it was my pal. she flew out of the pack and wobbled running straight towards me lol xx

Look up pigeon towers of the Middle east and North Africa. They used to use pigeon excrements as a source of organic fertilizer. It really is beautiful and very useful animal. Thank you for the video.

A collared dove with a badly injured eye recently found us (assuming he got in a scrap with another bird). After the initial stress he regained his appetite but he refuses to drink or bathe on his own. We wrap him in an old t-shirt and dip his beak in the water which works and he drinks a lot like that. He still preens himself. We changed his vessel numerous times to no avail. Any tips?

Ive just had a new roof installed and am left with two baby pigeons. Ive been feeding them peas and sweetcorn., today ive placed a flat tray and placed sunfliwer seeds and water in the rim. They look ok and are making chirping noises. Im not sure of the next steps to make as their mother is outside on roof. Ive left my bathroom window wide open and the attic hatch is ooen, the pigeons are sat up there nesting.

how is it possible the entire internet has no information on the most common sound you hear them make while they just sitting around. It sounds just like an owl hoot but calmer more slow and tame always the same. Coo-coo-ooooo, coo-coo-ooooo , coo-coo-oooo. like a kids toy wood flute. what does this one mean???

Apparently I can't tell the difference between a pigeon and a mourning dove. After another 30 min of wasted searching i finally found its the mournful sounding mating call of a mourning dove. crazy birds.

We rescued a baby pigeon ( rock pigeon). It was about 1 month old. It really bonded with me from the beginning, but about 2 weeks ago it started to act totally obsessed with my husband and started to show aggressive behavior towards me. It is about 7 months old now. We think it's a girl but hasn't laid eggs yet. Do you think her behavior towards me will improve with time?

I know you haven't posted in a while but I just wanted to let you know that your videos are the best ones I've found on all things pigeon, I just adopted my quite young pigeons the other day but leading up to it I did lots of research via video and articles and I found your videos definitely the most informative and interesting, I watched all your beginner guide videos and a few more and I've got to say compared to other videos where the owner just sort of briefly explains things i like how in depth you go, its made me feel a lot more confident in my ability to work with my babies moving forward and to really understand them and their needs

Hello, I would like to ask ... since English is my second language I saw some videos and one was about an imprinted pigeon … unfortunately I did not really get how the imprint can happen and lead to an agressive behaviore ... how do I get my pigeon not to imprint? I should have a pigeon in about 2-3 month (should not be hand-raised) but it should be like month or 6 weeks old. And since it will be very young they would not be able to tell if it is a boy or a girl (which does not really matter) but they said in a video that this aggressive behaviour happens to imprinted pigeon males. I would like to just have a companion and a friend but I have quite a young child and i would not like this agression behaviore to happend. So if anyone would be able to help me explain and have some tips I would really appriciate that. Thank you
