Uber is sick to put this out there. I as a driver am seriously worried that I am going to crash any day now using this app. Theres way to many distractions on it. Im also worried that if I feel this way how many other drivers are going to get hurt. Especially with trips like this popping up. This is a distraction alone in itself to constantly watch out that were not being taken advantage of on each and every trip that gets sent our way. And now customers are getting so angry with all the constant pings and driving distractions that they are giving bad ratings. Just today I had someone say can you please turn that off its really annoying me. So I had to tell them sorry I forgot to hit the stop accepting new trips button when I started your ride.

Funny thing is I know both of those areas. That part of lincolnton, nc is not a bad area to pickup on. Myrtle drop off is near the grandstand which this time of year is not too busy, but still. Add in if this trip were done today, it was pouring rain all day….it would be horrible

I have noticed that Uber is relying more and more on drivers calculating based on hourly wage. We are labeled as independant contractors, but bank on people that don't know how to measure checks and balances of a business. A lot of trips I see in Phoenix are regularly $22-$25/hr, BUT doing that equates close to 35-50 miles. This trip is doing the same, it's 4.5 hours BUT that's over $36/hr, disregarding time and mileage back home. Smoke and mirrors.

Do you see the “exclusive” tag next to Uber pet? Uber claims a flash promo of 40% savings to rider. The problem is that at times even when no promo is active, Uber still pays you as if the promo still going. They charge the passengers full price and pay the driver 40% less using that exclusive tag. That's not the type of ride you take with a complete stranger, and their pet. That's the type of ride you do after converting someone to a private client, and know them well enough to be able to anticipate there should be no problems, and that you will be well paid for the ride.

I do Lyft 95% of the time because of area filters, not to mention Uber DF'S suck. When I do do Uber no trip over 25 miles. This is a 400 dollar trip and the driver better have 3 harbor freight moving blankets in the trunk. Don't know why they would even open Uber Pets on the app.

On a positive note, the rider in this ride is rated a 5.0 😂 -wouldn’t be shocked if the pet is a Pitbull, named “Killa” …named after the rider’s street name. --question: What would be worse? last time I did and will do an uber pet the dog got its hair all over my back seat and the owners didn’t gaf neither did uber. I then had to clean it myself before picking up the next passenger. What uber does not take Into effect is that some people are allergic to animals. I had an ex gf that would start sneezing and even get an allergic rash if she was around dog or cat hair to long.

Trip from Baltimore to New York City for $199.00 they try to sell me. 4 1/2 hours up and almost $40 in tolls one way. Check the climax to this klusterfuk, I would haft to drive all the way back from New York City to Baltimore on my own for 4.5 hrs plus pay almost 40 in tolls. 8 hours total work time just in driving... so let's add stops and wait times. Easily 9 hours. 170.00 just to round up and see how crazy this is. Looking at maybe 19.00 an hour at best. 48 or 50 gallons in fuel. So you are filling up 2 or 3 times. At 4.00 a gallon. So 200.00 in fuel. You just paid Uber 30.00 to take some a$$hat 4 hours away with a stinking animal or animals... so worth it. divide that by half because you have to return so you are now at about 18 an hr, then how much gas will it cost u. Generously speaking 20 mpg (cause this is the lowest fare im sure Uberx) so 440 miles for round trip (guessing 22+ gallons) not sure of price of gas in Ohio but Chicago its about 3.59 (about $80) for a 4 cyl cheapy car), in reality you car is earning about $90 for 9 hrs worth of work, someone smarter than me can calculate the depreciation of 440 miles. After all that your actual driving work has to be for free or way below min wage, if you dont believe me how much would you have to pay a driver for 9 hrs. Not only did you not make money on this trip, in actuality you came out negative for all the resources invested to do this trip, you devalued your car for zero gains.
