7/23 Excellent video fun to do ! you helped this vintage guy formerly 20 years active as an interpreter who loved it , grateful now for the opportunity to just now pick it back up after 15 years away, in order to begin a deaf ministry with others helping as well at my church . I’m so happy to be signing again wish your videos were available in the pre internet / pre iPad days of the 80’s when I first began signing .

Very interesting. You telling us to use the emotions to get our expressions up was very good.

I’m a respiratory therapist in the hospital setting. I would LOVE if you had a video dedicated to some medical terms so that I can communicate better with my patients. Examples :respiratory therapist, nebulizer treatment, draw blood, breathe, lungs, heal, therapy, help, medication, patient. I love the way you teach and I think you would be my best bet at helping me with this ☺️

I struggle with facial expressions because I am autistic. I have trouble identifying emotions. I am working hard at it, but I have trouble knowing what facial expression goes with what sign. I can struggle to identify my own emotions sometimes, too. I am a new signer as well, in my first ASL class. I will be signing the Gallaudet and Clerc story for the expressive part of my final exam. Interesting, but challenging task ahead of me.

How do you know how to make the right face though? I get eyebrows up, down, or neutral, but I don't know how you make the different mouth shapes, or change where your eyes are looking. I try these in the mirror, and scared and surprised look exactly the same, as do confused and irritated. The only one that looked different was sarcastic, because I had no idea, so made no expression. Is there some kind of facial expression key?

I speak with a monotone voice and have little to none facial expressions, is it really necessary to learn this for signing or could I sign the same way I speak?

I need a video for ASL students to learn how to reply with NMS. I sign to them how are you or Do you understand me, then some of them look like a robot and emotionless (no expression with their reply).

Give it a rest, will you...R, looked better in her 1st 100 words, now she is over kill with the artificial blond hair....Her choice, possibly a new look after not being married anymore, if she even was. Many females do that, which is not necessary.. I tune in for her outstanding ability but there are many outstanding channels as well

@@fcrossface7875 you know you don't have to be rude she's not just beautiful on the outside she is beautiful on the inside if I think someone is pretty that is my own personal opinion I wanted to share some love and tell her she's beautiful I do that with almost all the videos I watch

@@fcrossface7875 also I've been watching her for a very long time before she dyed her hair and she has helped me with ASL so much I watch her because of it I just wanted to show her that I support her and that I love how she's teaching sign language......

@@fcrossface7875 don't you ever think that I am just watching her because she's pretty I said she was pretty because that was my way of complimenting her for how much she has accomplished with her teaching.........Don't take one comment so seriously there was no hate in that comment it was no rudeness in that comment I was saying she was beautiful because she is in and out she has the kindest heart teaching ASL to help the world become a better place and if I want to express my gratitude for her by saying she's pretty let me do so it is not up to you she is a very beautiful woman she has a very kind heart and I don't watch her just because she's "pretty" I watch her because she helps me learn.

@@fcrossface7875 I was just saying she's pretty because that is my way of showing my appreciation some people say thank you some people don't say anything at all I had already thanked her in my previous comment saying thanks for helping me exceed an ASL I was just adding another comment because that is my way of showing love
