Thanks Adam. I have to agree with another commenter that was somewhat off-putting as an experience. Access to Tesla superchargers will undoubtedly create issues to due the charge port location vs Tesla supercharger short charge cord. However if you can get an end spot or access from the backside you won't be taking up 2 spots. I can see issues ahead when non tesla EVs clog up Tesla Supercharge locations. I'm currently waiting for my adapter to checkout the Blazer EV compatibility with Tesla superchargers. It works fine at home on a level 2 Tesla universal charger with the charger set to compatibility mode (no more cannot charge messages).

Thanks for making me regret my purchase of a Prologue. Taking it on the first road trip in a couple weeks, a round trip jaunt from San Diego to Palm Springs a whopping 500 mile elevation gain, but there are a few passes along the way that have some larger elevations, I suspect it will still be a bit more efficient then your terrain. I was spoiled with my Model 3, but I will enjoy the quiet and luxurious ride of the Prologue, so there is that. If I'm lucky I can go to Palm Springs without charging and plug in somewhere over the weekend I'm staying and be golden.

I haven't tried the schedule on my prologue yet. I have a chargepoint charger and I tried the schedule on the chargepoint app and it didn't work. I can start and stop charging from the app but for some reason scheduling it to start did not work. I just go out into the garage after 8 or so and plug it in and let it charge to whatever I've set the car to. Our electricity is 7 cents a kwh so pretty cheap. The PUD does not appear to have a different rate for what they consider peak times but I figure after 8 pm is probably pretty safe if they do.

In four years of EV ownership I haven’t had as many issues charging as you have had in this one trip. 🤷🏼♂️ In our own there is a 50kw charge point that hasn’t worked for 2 years, I had a out of town driver ask me bout fast charging and the options where about 45 km south and 70 km northwest he had to charge at an available 6kw unit for longer than he wanted to in order to reach a faster charger. Anyway after rhat I thought I would ask Charge Point about the charger and they replied that they were waiting for an upgraded modem. They must still be trying to figure out how to go about making the modem a year after I contacted them.

Thanks Adam, enjoy your videos. You have a nice voice. Could you make a video with vehicle shut down and start up sequences - I'm interested in whether audio (from any sources - radio, Bluetooth, Android Audio, built in apps, etc.) starts to play automatically upon car startup, even if the audio source was turned off before shutting the car down. On some vehicles there isn't a way to actually "turn off" audio and it always plays when the car starts, even if you had it "muted" before, so I'm interested in getting details on how the Prologue performs in this aspect.

I’m very interested to see how you do on the Tesla chargers since the Prologue is a GM car, but you can’t assume anything. I suppose you can’t assume even a regular GM car is going to charge smoothly. So you’ll have the issue of the short charging cable and the charge port being on the opposite side of the car from a Tesla backed in. Have any of the car companies put their charge port in the same spot as Tesla? Seems like that would be a good idea at this point.
@Aslash3043 ай бұрын

I love mine, got the EX trim because the price was right. I almost regret it for the single reason that the 6 speaker sound system in the EX trim may be the worst sounding stereo I've ever had in a car. I test drove teh Touring and it sounded amazing... my bad for not putting it through the paces first. For $52k, this is unacceptable really. I get that the Touring should have a more premium sound, but the drop off shouldn't be premium to hot garbage, it should be premium to pretty good.

@Aslash3042 ай бұрын
The HondLink app will show your exact volts and amps. You can multiply the watts you get as a result by the length of time you were charging in number of hours expressed as a decimal. If your level 1 is 120v and 8 amp that’s 960 watts or 0.96 kW. If you charge at that rate for 5 and a half hours, then multiply 5.5 times 0.96, that’s 5.28kWh. Hope this helps.

Here's something like to bring about this EV in particular. If somebody has worked on Hondas for over 30 years I've been conscripted to work on this vehicle. I've never been a general motors technician and now you've thrown a general motors vehicle at me that is electric. My complete training is about 10 online tests and one class for about 6 hours where I learned to pull codes. When these cars come in which I've had a few of them pulling a code is an adventure because their scan tool is web-based only. When it doesn't work you have to try over and over to get it to sync to the vehicle and then when you get the codes sometimes you're not sure what you're looking at because again I'm not a general motors technician and general motors has a complete way of doing things and it's very difficult to figure this stuff out along with the parts catalog and service manual so say what you want about the vehicle we have an extremely hard time fixing them looking at parts and get information we need to attempt a repair. So keep that in mind when you buy this vehicle.
