The delivery was silly, the message was badass. The lore of this boss is so cool. Lion guardian of the golden lineage is fully grafted to suppress the only thing that gives Hoarah Loux meaning - violence - and create First Elden Lord Godfrey. And then, Godrick and others in his lineage pervert this. Graft seeking false strength, while their true forefather needed to do it only to restrain bloodlust with wisdom.

Godfrey is by far my favorite boss fight in the whole game, not for how hard it is since once you learn the pattern it’s pretty easy, but for just how crazy and over the top the whole fight is. Seriously, the guy sends shockwaves by rofl stomping, shakes the very ground like a bloody titan, and pile drives you after flinging you haplessly into the air. He even willingly kills his companion just to 1v1 you, revealing himself as one of the major Tarnished. The fact he looks like a giant Dwarven king also earns him major cool points in my eyes too. Just all round love this encounter and was so fun to learn and beat it.

Yeah I'm kinda disappointed with pretty much all of the end-game bosses being so easy to kill, honestly. A lot of build-up for a few bosses made purely out of paper. With a little luck you can bypass most of the mechanics the fight even has because of how much damage you can do to them.

Oh man, ich love this boss. He is so epic, his voice, his appearence (espacially his physical strentgh in the cut scenes and this air thing) and the best feeling you can have in elden ring is to dodge roll his axe, its just so satisfying.

I really feel that a few of these last bosses Malikath and Hoarah Loux in particular need to have phases like Radagon and Rhykard where you deplete boss hp bar 1 and then phase 2 is a new health bar because while they are amazing fights if you have a strong build you can dodge an attack and kill them almost instantly taking away from some of the coolest fights in the game you can't say it would make them to hard either because Malenia has the same full hp mechanic and she feel amazing to fight. I wound up fighting Malikath with an unupgraded weapon so it felt like he had a proper health pool 50% for them is too low

I know its his choice and it's the players choice and I am not talking about here but the crazy damage kinda got me sad bc I wish asmongold and others got to experience some Boss's complete moveset, for example saw some people melt Maliketh and not even see his sick moves. I am fine with being strong e.g. having tons of health so you don't die, but it's a shame when some people go through a relativley cool boss without experiencing it. For example Sodapopin used comet Azula on Mohg and legit never saw the 2nd phase

Same thing happened to me here though. The last 4-5 bosses weren't particularly hard because I had already played the game 180 hours and was level 150 with several max upgraded weapons. They should perhaps make the last few bosses harder tbh.

it's interesting to see some comments say that he was easy compared to Radahn. I had an easier time with Radahn than I did Godfrey. His attacks have weird timing and they pack a punch, so there's less room for error. different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Ok I understand Serosh was given to Godfrey as a way to suppress his bloodlust and he kills him to release himself to fight you unmitigated, but why does Serosh's hand mimic the movement of Godfrey's hand? Did him killing Serosh also give him the beastial strength of Serosh added to his own? Is that why he roars like a beast before some of his biggest attacks?

Look at the throne of Elden Lord when fighting Morgott, and see that the player seams to look like child next to ordinary chair, and at the ending, he/she seams to seat on the same throne and be fitting size. So yeah, at the end we may grow taller. Although, it is not so clear.

@@CountArtorias No compared to the other later bosses Malekith, Radagon/Elden Beast, Malenia he is certainly easy. I feel like he genuinely needed more HP as he just dies a little too fast. Compared to the cracked up spider monkey that was Malekith he was nothing. Still the coolest boss in the game imo, next to Malenia (mostly because the voice actor did an excellent job as her) and the visuals of her second phase.
