I would love to duel asmon . i would completely beat him down with my fire mage on mal'ganis server. Right now in shadowlands expansion 😂. Asmon is a horrible pvper and even though this video is old i know for a fact i can win with my mage by using combustion and pyro blast. Lol he'll be running around complaining how i stay on his ass because i wont let him get far enough to use his charge ability to stun me and i will win everytime. If you ever go up against asmon in a duel and you are ranged dps just stay on his ass and he'll choke because he cant charge stun you 😂. Its sad.

Dude Asmong was always aweful, just listen to his TBC story, he says he joined the best guild in the server blah blah, the guy always died in fights and fough in front of the boss, which you know gets you killed. Any half decent guild, after seing someone doing this repeatadly would seriously just get remove from raid or gquit, so either his guild was shit, or that server was horrible, because aparently thats where his ego comes from, and his dilusion of thinking he is good at wow lol.

Actually everyone commenting stuff like that has no idea what they are talking about. Warrior do no win duels. They lose to most classes. Warriors are good when paired with a healer only. Alone they get destroyed by all classes. To be fair it does get easier the more they level up abd get gear. 1st breakpoint when they get mortal strike, next one on hit cap. Even then they will still lose to most classes 1v1

The timing between attacks is so gruesomely low you can click each attack and still remain top dps. There is really no skill in classic. All about luck and class. Obv the Paladin is going to rek everything. Mages are good for kiting warriors. Especially druids. In classic there is less skill oriented than bfa dueling... arena...and bgs. All your main damage is auto attack.

I know Asmongold won't see this but just looking at this footage I see a couple of things he could do differently. I don't know this streamer really at all but I have heard of him. #1 He doesn't have battle shout on at all which is extra AP #2 I notice that on Overpower chances he doesn't seem to crit at all which if he put points into the talent is added gives him 50% chance to crit with an OP weapon like Whirlwind Axe #3 It seems like he stance dances on everything but defensive to mitigate damage that you know you will take. #4 I do not see him sunder anybody let a lone the clothies which would greatly impact his damage #5 The lack of use of Rend on anybody he seems to spam hamstring more then Rend. On mages Rend does damage instead of you being stuck to the floor. #6 When using his fear I notice he just waits to get out of combat but does not bandage. (Could seriously change the game on half of these duels) #7 Seems to only use Hamstring and Heroic Strike (there are other abilities like Slam) #8 I notice when he is fighting melee classes that he doesn't use Demo Shout and or Thunderclap which are pretty beneficial for a slow hitting class like Arms warrior. #9 I would say be a little bit more patient on the Intercept for instance to prevent damage and or a heal from happening #10 I think he should stay away from Bezerker Stance at least for his lvl. Primarily only use it for the Intercept. #11 The last one I would say would be to use his big cooldowns. Like Retailiation and or Shield Wall but that might only win you one until it comes off CD. Those are my things that I saw. I got no problem with someone learning but from what I am seeing in the comments this guy apparently talks a big game but can't back it up? But I could be completely wrong since I do not know this man. Not trying to hate but there are other ways to go about duels if you keep losing. I would say its not your characters fault that you are losing I just don't thing you are utilizing all the abilities you have to win. Instead of blaming the game try out new ways.

He should use Slam instead of HS tho. Too much running and jumping away when not needed (i know it's for the swing timer). Too much Rend (is useless unless its a rogue to prevent vanish). But yeah, he doesn't have Pummel which is a big factor in fighting anything that can cast.

It just doesn't look that "cool" when standing an casting an attack, but the benefit on these early levels is way better than with HS cause you dont miss a rage generating auto swing. He used it once against the mage in the video and it still reached him when he walked some meters away. Sure you need to get the cast off, but while hamstringed you are free to cast it anyway.

@@100Predator it is not about the procs. The only viable pvp spec for paladin (not healing) is a reckoning. Reck pallys use seal of righteousness in that match up = consistant damage and for each crit they get an extra attack + seal damage. Warrior gets outlasted anyways. For mage it is all about using a counterspell to deny charge. Even if warrior charges you still can poly, go max range and always use blink vs intercept, fight is won, easy.

There is a big difference between the game as it was, and how it is now. It was tough then, and warriors needed to be geared... And as a Warrior, you also had to understand that you were way more effective as part of a duo, or group. 1 on 1 you can have a good chance against a lot of classes at this level range, but don't expect to beat a good Paladin or Mage. Also, as entertaining as he can be... He's not that good at PvP, and he's a selfish player who has gotten used to being carried by much better players. I watch him and he doesn't even have first aid, or use bandages ever! Not even to help save someone in an encounter or to help reduce downtime/healers mana. In classic bandages were amazingly important, especially in pvp, get off a fear, BANDAGE! Mage uses ice block, you Bandage... Paladin uses their bubble, you... can you guess it? Yep, you bandage. Then you see him destroying wool and silk, to make room for loot. He keeps talking about toxicity, but he attracts toxic people to him, because he is selfish and toxic himself. I honestly was wondering if he was just a big troll and if it was all an act. But I genuinely think it isn't an act, the more I watch. So that's why I find it ironically entertaining. that someone who plays so much of this game can be so bad at it. And it shows why I don't like the current state of the game because time invested > skill. Whomever can afford the most time to play and is somewhat connected will always be better off than a casual, skilled player.

Pre 60 warrior dueling and just warrior in general in classic, you need engineering grenades, trinks and first aid 24/7 to stand a chance. Also why are people complaining about him losing when multiple times he's lost with barely 1-2 abilities/auto's left to win? Lol??? The only time warriors had a huge duel buff was legion with self sustain legendaries. The only time they shine in vanilla pvp is with a pocket heal in bgs, they're absolute monsters. Not defending asmon here because holy shit there was so many misplays and just bad ability usage but classic warrior dueling was scuffed.

@@Ranger_407 yeah MoP warriors also had a chance, second-wind healing was crazy when proccing and uncontested but still easy enough to just disable. I don't think many people see the pattern here, what makes dueling classes good? Yes that's right self sustain and healing. People also forget that things were different then to players now. Everyone knows the tricks, back then spazmoids had access to WoW as long as their pizza box computer could play it and were regularly getting punked by naked rogues because they didn't know how to play even if their life was on the line. Expansions even after vanilla, burst will only get you so far until its not enough to kill them and they just heal back up and whittle you down whilst you wait to do anything. The only time I can think of when warriors REALLY and I mean REALLY did something in duels was in legion. Draught of souls, Mannoroth's, Ce-anns, they really shot up open world dueling.

@@araragi5322 I do agree, the sadness for warriors was burst with stuff like draught was just a lack of feeling like you were even playing. Warriors always seemed like the class begging for a pocket healer but in duels fell pretty lackluster to nearly every class if not every, druid and mages are what i can think of in-particular that were literally not winnable unless you were crazy levels better. Even most others felt really rough, but i do agree that people are shitting on him like it's not incredibly difficult for warriors to beat stuff like hybrids especially back in days where hybrid melees healing was actually good.

@@vertharion694 Issue was that the pally can deal damage from good range whilst keeping the warrior in combat to stop charges if he doesn't out range, with that he has bubble and healing so can just reset on the warrior so it can become very difficult IMO

Exactly. He came on the streamer scene playing the character of a toxic tryhard who's seen it all, done it all and is the self-proclaimed "LITERAL GOD". He needs to accept that people are going to mock him if he acts like he's a god at something when really he's quite bad. Recently he's been backtracking this persona since we've all seen how bad he is at most games. Sure, you can speed run through all the old instances in retail wow, collecting every single mount, transmog item and achievement there is.. and then competing against other people who haven't put in as much time with mount offs and transmog competitions. That's great for an ego boost. But when asmongold leaves the safety of his retail bubble where he's the king, he suddenly becomes a peasant. We've seen it with dark souls, witcher, hollow knight, sekiro and now vanilla wow. I can almost guarantee you that asmongold is going to get to level 60 in classic wow, might clear MC/Onyxia with his guild of plebs but will probably struggle with BwL. As we saw with the pvp battles the other day and from him doing project 60 in retail, he is terrible at commanding 39 other people. This combined with his lack of willpower to push through hard obstacles will probably mean that Asmongold is either going to go for the easier route, making sure his guild is just filled with good raiders who can carry him and give him the loot... Or he will say "classic just isn't for me" and go back to his retail bubble where he can be the king again.

I wouldn't say Asmon is toxic, he is just fed up with the whole toxic spam that is his chat. If you watch his personal vlogs, he goes into this subject where he even considered streaming on a smaller account so he could have a much more personal experience with his community. Some of the stuff he says can be toxic, but overall I can understand why he is aggravated. McConnell being obnoxious and provoking both Asmon and the chat doesn't help either.
