I had a mage come up to me and frost nova some mobs so i could get away because i accedently pulled 4 mobs, that nova saved my ass and i got away. litereally like 5 minutes later, i see him fight a monster and hes at like 5% hp, i send my pet to taunt it off of him, saving hes life. Still, the point of druid was never to stay within one role, but sadly the transform spells cost way too much for that concept to work. Blizzard just fucked up, and they are very aware of it as well. I honestly wish some things like that could be changed in Classic, but purists will not allow such things.

Lol i remember i helped a lower level rogue. He almost got killed and my pet saved the day (yeah. Litteral huntard there. But hey, i was 12! :D ) We wrote and it turned out it was one of his alts. We lvld together as soon as he reached my lvl and he helped me with many other things with his main, like: helping me with quests like the zul farak hammer, elite quests and he gave me gold for skills and my mount. Its so many years and i still remember his mains name. I kept the same attitude and basically did the same thing with other new players. #ClassicHype #Community

I find that dps's pulling more and more to try speed run actually ends up slowing things down because of deaths and waiting for res's or even worse full party wipes usually because their pull snowballs with other mobs or they haven't checked if the tank is getting hit hard and HP is constantly dipping and healer is nearly oom nah here's another 5-10 mobs following someone's pet or a dps coming to kill us all

Plus there's the fact in most instances you're mot actually clearing any faster anyway. Since unless you have a lot of AoE you will have to kill the mobs the same speed you would be doing in another pull, likely slower Since you'll be more likely to run out of mana or energy etc and therefor not be doing optimal dps slowing everything down.

I remember a priest who went out of his way to run up and heal me when I pulled too many mobs. It was a true blessing because the res point was half a map away. I thanked him and he buffed me further. Then, a day or two later I saw him in the exact reverse situation in a similar area. He pulled too many and was near death. I ran up, /sit and watched him get destroyed. Love classic.

Give your healer a tip at the start o the run and he'll afford drinking water whenever possible, even just for a couple of seconds and thus speeding up the run.

I mean theres an in between in classic between rushing the dungeun and taking ur time. If a pull is easy, by all means, just pull it fast, healer doesnt necessarily need full mana for it. But in serious pulls def make sure healer has mana. Basically just pull when you know you can clear it, as fast as possible and when you're prepared

I remember when I first started playing wow right before Cata came out and I was on my way to northrend and I whispered a random stranger that was on the boat with me and asked him if he could spare any gold for my flying and he gave me 5,000 gold. That was such a huge help for me since I was only earning max 5g a day, this is what makes it such a great game. Magical awesome moments happening spontaneously

Kill orders were made more or less moot with Target of Target mods. In Raids they're a good idea to use for difficult multi pulls but so long as you target the tank's target as a DPS you won't do wrong. Also, when it comes to healers being attacked I excelled at protecting them with my DK. Even in DPS mode I had Icebound on the bars. One deathgrip/desecration later and the healer was mob free. Of course that's back when Blood DPS was still a thing. Between the self heals in that DPS spec and Icebound, plus some healer attention, I could almost always handle myself until the mob got burned down or until the tank got it off me. The only exception was bosses. I always tried to hold the boss as long as possible to get the kill despite both tanks being down. Sometimes it worked but more often than not it doesn't. All I had to do was switch presence and burn every defensive cd I had and hope for the best. That's actually how we killed Putricide for the first time. It was me, two healers, and a hunter left. Boss swung, killed me, and literally at the same time I watched an arrow hit him and he dropped. I stood up and yelled like it was the god damn superbowl. In the long run, even if you're a DPS class, getting mobs off of the healer at the expense of your life is a good idea. If you go down no biggie. if the healer goes down there's no heals going out and more people will drop like flies, if not the tank. You can be rez-ed. Do what's in the best interest of the group if healers are in trouble. If you're a DPS class that has access to heals then leave them on the spell bar, make a new bar if you have to. You never know when you'll need it. Your sacrifice could be the deciding factor in victory or defeat.

That is exactly how our server did it and what I used. The moon was for sheep or druid sleep. Purple for locks obviously, and for banish along with fear. The yellow star was sap. Then you had some fringe cc that was used rarely, like the druid sleep, but priest shackle or pally fear undead... which was whatever icon wasn't used.... maube the green one.

Once me and my buddy hit 40 we would just ride to summoning stones and whisper everyone in the zone if they wanted to do a dungeon and that we could summon them. Had macro for /w'ing people. Never had a problem filling groups.

Marks are totally a cultural thing. On EU servers I played on orange was sheep, square was hunter trap, purple was banish or fear, skull first target, X is second target. All the rest must be defined at the start of the run.

There was one tank who got super butthurt because the other warrior(dps) was using sunder armor occasionally to lower the armor of bigger mobs and the dps didnt even pull the aggro away from him. I don't know if it's an ego thing or what but some tanks get really upset if they don't have 100% mobs hitting them all the time, and this makes some pulls harder because they then refuse to kite mobs or won't lose aggro for couple of seconds when it's needed.

You obviously don't know how threat or groups work. Tanks are meant to take hits so they generate rage, then they use that rage for more threat. A tanks job is to keep threat. A dps's job is let the tank keep threat and dps as much damage as possible (without pulling threat off of the tank. If it is done correctly. The healer doesnt have to drink as much and the dungeon is faster. We are talking 15 minutes on average for classic dungeons. Tanks put sunder armor on targets as a part of their rotation to boost their threat dealt to the target from abilities like Revenge and Heroic strike, unless it's a raid dps shouldn't be putting sunder on a mob they should be focused on using their rage on doing dps. That's purely for bosses.

​@@qweqwadadasdadsf1303 Depends on the group combination. If I were tanking and I had a mage or a warlock I would use their cc over an off tank. For large pulls I generally thunderclap early, demo shout engineering bomb, quickly put a sunder on each mob, due to my spec and crit they get a bleed on them then I kite tank till the mobs grows smaller using aoe taunt if it needed but it generally isn't. If the dps is smart enough to wait for the sunder you're pretty much set. Even if you don't have a mage use an earth bind totem if you have a shaman, or even a hunters frost trap. So many warriors cant kite and then we get dps coming up with dumb ass ideas like tanking or chain pulling like its fucking retail. There are some exceptions ofc. You can't really kite casters with mana and no interrupts so they are the only exception I can think of. All physical damage should be on the tank for efficiency because at the end of the day if the class is played well it's the best option.

If it is locked and we have in grp person who can unlock it, we just use another of our grp member skill in the dungeon we are in. That person who can unlock it didnt get to chest by himsel/herself but in grp. So after he/she opens it all grp has right to /roll on it. Following your "reasoning" on the locked chest.... simple... only tank can roll on item after boss fight that reqires tank... or healer if it requires healer.... or dps if it requires dps.... GROUP is called GROUP cuz it work 2gather. Yes. You welcome.

@Dun Hildas The need/greed isn't a problem for common drops, most of the time. It becomes an issue with drops like the pattern for Robe of the Archmage. bop robe after crafted, but the recipe itself can be traded. Some say it should go to the mage in the group, some will say "all need on it" because it's basically a bag of money that dropped. Now the answer isn't so clear anymore. The sole reason the mage is even there could very well be for that recipe, if the group decides to all need on it the mage might peace out. But if you give it to the mage, do you then give the next expensive flask recipe to the alchemist in the group? What about the Arcanite Reaper recipe? Or is everyone then all of a sudden an alchemist/blacksmith to be able to roll need on it. They are worth a lot of gold. Do you just pass on a 100g drop? Do you trust your random group members? I don't. It could very well be the 7th robe of the archmage recipe for the mage. Safest thing to do is to roll need on all drops that can be traded. Unless you know and trust your group members, then it's a different story. edit: or discuss the loot rules at the beginning of the run, but if it's a random group and they tell me they want to give the drops to the guy that needs it, then yes, I'll tell you my professions are alchemy and blacksmithing.

if I'm tanking a 5 man and a dps ninja pulls because his but itches too much I tend to just press x and watch them go. After a healer goes oom 3rd time in a row the rest of the group usually tells that person off to let the tank do his job

I dont know why Asomd cares if more people get into beta. Even if they do, most people arent leveling to 40 since it all gets wiped in a month or so. They will hop on, play for a week or so, get to level 10-20 and stop playing. Asmond is acting as if its a live game. Hes just going to have to play 8.2 to have something to stream for a little while.

I'll make a point to enforce these rules whenever I get a chance. A dude refused to inv me for hunting mob with a long spawn and two minutes later he was swearing at me when I refused his invite after tagging that mob. I was about to loot an item while the guy next to me was clearing mobs for it and stopped because it would be a dick move to do. Then I saw his fuck yous and made sure to loot the item right before he clicked it. Guys have some manners, it's almost always worth the trouble
