It's a little too flawed imo to be true. Mobile gaming is much more popular overseas for a reason, and I think that's because of the media we consume. Western media is very "immediate." It wants to be in the now, and moving towards the future. And so the "ideal" mobile game would be one where you don't have to spend money to get further, and pay for the game upfront... Or in increments of time, such as ads or "energy." Things like gachas or premium currencies/items are frowned upon because you aren't getting the full experience. Whereas an Eastern mobile game relishes in the idea of having gacha systems or methods of saving up free premium currency to buy something because they aren't looking for that immediate satisfaction. Many of these games you can go full F2P, you just don't get everything as fast as paying players. And that's where the disconnect happens between Eastern and Western mobile gaming happens: one wants the full experience available to them so they pay their "price" or don't play, while the other is fine using F2P tactics to experience the game slower of it means they don't have to pay, as long as it means they can play. This means many tactics used in Eastern mobile gaming are EXTREMELY predatory to the Western Market. Because it wasn't meant to be a "pay for the experience" type of deal. (I'm not counting companies like King, because they're a large minority of extremely greedy companies that use predatory tactics, to the point they prohibit your play heavily if you don't pay. They're just overly greedy, and that will always happen. Hell, even PC/Console gaming isn't immune to it. Look at ActiBlizz or EA.)

Eh partly, the problem is good mobile games essentially are forced to have loot box shit, you can't charge over $5 on the app store and expect anyone to buy it meaning even the best games are sat at $5 making it hard for them to be profitable, so essentially good appstore games have to be free and charge p2w shit or run shit tons of ads to make money, and the other games are just really simplistic games that are like 10 minute time killers that have less ads and shit, the only way mobile devs could respect players more is if players were willing to pay more money upfront for actual quality content but most people probably aren't okay with that and it would be too big of a risk for a dev or company so it probably won't happen The only way I see this gap possibly being filled is through something like the Switch as it's kind of the middle man that get's the good mobile games and then solid indie and amazing AAA titles, plus some games like Diablo Immortal will probably actually play pretty well on Switch and work better there than on mobile As funny as a dude as Asmongold is I wouldn't take any of his advice outside of WoW, most of it is complete ass and he's not exactly good at backing up any of his reasoning at all

People are not aware the danger of this new trend. They make cheap games, weak gameplay, weak graphics for a cheap price. They did get "deleted" as far as the public eye is concerned (though censored is a better way to put it) and then were brought back after a few days. This occurred to many of the comments that got too many dislikes; I saw them all vanish as I checked back hourly as any type of censorship is something I do not approve of (The Streisand Effect also came from this, as people began reposting what Repill said hundreds of times, each getting thousands of upvotes until Blizzard uncensored them). Though the prospect that people would be fooled and believe what they want after the fact is something I did not foresee, although it is the reality of the world and our perception of history as a whole.

Funny part is this isn't even the first time they've implemented retarded things that they used as April Fool gags. They added GCD (global cooldown) to almost all spells/abilties (including mobility and defensive ones) in World of Warcraft. There are several listings with the same title, and yes, they did upload it three times. They actually did it 4 times. One for USA ESRB Ratings. Once for Eu ESRB ratings once for Austrailian ESRB ratings. and Once for Asian. The only difference between the trailers is the recommended age listed, and if it says "ESRB 12" or "Pegi 12" etc etc

There is a good chance Diablo IV is never getting made at all. I don't think EA want to make Star Wars BattleFront 3 after having to remove lootboxes. I think Bethesda made Fallout 76 a multiplayer game because they got much backlash over trying to sell payed mods in their single player game. I don't think we'll see another Middle-Earth Shadow of ... .game neither. Unless Blizzard conjures up some new way of monetization that'll please fans and stockholders alike I don't think they're interested to make D4.

The only conclusion is they are either working on a remake/remaster of diablo 2, working on diablo 4, working on diablo comics or having something to do with diablo coming out in the future. For some reason they refuse to confirm Diablo 4 is even being worked on this alone makes me wonder... 2. Then there is the fact that their plans for monetizing Diablo 3 failed and the game itself also got lukewarm reception. 3. If they are gonna make Diablo 4 they will have to first think of a new way to make money of off it. Blizzard is in it for the money after all Diablo Immortal proves this IMO. 4. Hardcore fans of Diablo, people that played and loved D1 & 2 are generally older generation and have less tolerance for microtransactions and lootboxes compared to the newer generation that grew up with these things and mobile games. So a game targeted at this group of people is less likely to make a lot of money on this kind of monetization. Why should Blizzard invest in Diablo 4? Try to think of this as someone who has no interest in the game itself but only the investment payoff. Also why should we put our (best) people on a project that doesn't give the biggest payoff.
